We've stayed in Douglas/Saugatuck for the past four years on summer vacation--always the first week of August, give or take. First year we stayed in a cottage rental. Meh. Second and third we stayed at Northern Lights Condos across the street from The Dunes. These are managed by The Dunes; very nice but a bit removed from the fun. Last...

I had a lower cottage for 3 days, it was nice to sit outside where they have some chairs. The bar is very fun and the dance floor was great. They had a show with Rick and Kelly in the piano bar that was excellent. Very talented musicians. The only thing that was wrong was that there was dried blood...

Visited for the first time. It was during Labor Day weekend so it was completely full. Very nice clean and maintained rooms. The weekend was full of fun activities and stuff to do all day and all night. Friendly staff too. Will definitely come back soon.

This is my third stay at the Dunes and I enjoyed it as I have the past times. We stayed in the King room which is a decent size with a balcony area on the second floor. We always enjoy the bar and cabaret areas as well as the pool area which has been upgraded over the past few years....

I had a great time here. The service and the staff were great. There were other events going on here in the evening. I'm glad that the beach area was within walking distance of the hotet This is a great place for the LGBT community to come to have a wonderful time.

We have been visiting Saugatuck and staying at the Dunes Resort since they opened 34 years ago. I have never reviewed it until now. The resort has had its ups and downs through the years but was always THE place to stay for the LGBT community with their 92 rooms, multiple bars, cabaret, pool, & lush grounds. The present owners...

Nice resort, the whole area is great the nightlife in the bar is excellent. The staff at the front desk is a little testy at times, but the rest of the staff is very good. I would recommend a week day stay

My partner and I are from Kalamazoo, MI, approximately 1 hour away from Saugatuck/Douglas. We enjoy fraternizing with like people on occasion. Yes the drinks are expensive and there is a hefty cover at times, but where else can you have this level of fun without paying for it. The rooms are always clean, and if not, they are made...

My partner and I stayed here recently and were impressed by the level of service and friendliness of the staff. Some of the rooms are all but "average" but it is all clean and very acceptable. They have a a great pool, outside stockade area, inside bar and dance floor.
