nice location between Oscoda and tawas, friendly owners, great lake view and private beach. However, our room was outdated and dirty. This was all that was available the weekend that we were planning our trip so we had to deal with it. I wouldn't have any complaints if the price was lower. We did not have enough towels, the beds were not comfortable. We brought our own linens and changed theirs out for ours and even added sheets to the sofa and chair in the living room. We wiped down the dining room table and it looked like my husband polished his shoes with the cloth! it also had a kinda funky smell. I wouldn't be so harsh if it were 60-80/night. We were charged 125, waaaaay too much for the lack of cleanliness.

No maid service as we were told we would have, utensils were not clean, refrigerator made loud horrid fan noises, no filters for coffee pot, password for internet access would not work on any device and we tried many times, floor gritty with sand, towels soft but minimum quality and one hand towel was a rag, beds good blankets thin, not able to open any windows so only ceiling fan with uncovered lightbulbs in open room, no light in cooking area, decor abysmal with minimum quality in almost every way, beach almost nonexistent with pilings all around so you would not be able to swim safely....very sorry to have stayed there.

Having come to Tawas for many years with our children camping my friend and I decided to do a quick overnight beach trip back. The kids are grown and we decided not to bring the camping gear -- we'd book a cabin or hotel room..... well, the cabin is in a row with others right on the lakeside, a plus compared to others, and an ok rating of 3 on trip advisor.... I reluctantly had to give it one star...... there is no AC,so I am glad it wasn't humid as our cottage was the last away from the lake breeze. It had been closed up so upon entering we opened the shabby broken blinds to raise the windows and air it out . There was a ceiling fan in the tv living area and a floor fan in bedroom area. The base was not attached to the fan it was just hanging ... we notified the gentleman who checked us in and he returned with a dusty box one. When we returned to wind down for the night, we discovered there was ONE washcloth and hand towel for the two of us to share, happily we each had our own bath towel. As the sheets were pulled back
In the bedroom long strands of both black and blond hair were between them. I was grossed out! The sheets appeared clean however but were polyester pilled so I hoped all night the hairs had been through the washer. The sleeper sofa was to be used by one of us. We moved the furniture to accommodate it opening. Upon looking for the sheets to put on it we discovered NONE!!! The bed had no blanket and two of the pillows had mismatched shams ... none of the linens included matched and ALL appeared to have come from goodwill donations.... not accommodating at all !!!! We could have roughed it at the campground a lot cheaper than we roughed it in this establishment and had clean blankets and towels we would have known to bring. Visit Hell, it is sure to beat this trip😢

very peaceful super nice owner clean well kept property and cabins and very reasonable prices , centrally located between oscoda and tawas city and easy to get to. right on the water very relaxing and enjoyable

Nice updated little cabins with its own private beach. They have grills, a volley ball net.
One draw back. We couldn't bring our dog, however the owners have a second property "Lazy Fish" that allows pets. Can get pretty busy from July-September.

Nice cabins very clean. Little Kitchenette, they have a very nice beach and lots of picnic tables and two fire pits and every cabin has a grill you can use. Nice outside tables and chairs . The flowers where also very pretty. We enjoyed a fire and a chance to meet new friends. The only drawback was it got very cold at night as we where there in October and the heat did not work. I feel the owners would have came by to fix its sense they seamed very nice. but I did not want to bother them late that night.
