We went looking for a new city to visit and experience for our final summer trip. We discovered this nice B&B in East Tawas which was perfect for us. The owner, Leigh, of this well kept property was very hospitable upon our arrival. She was flexible with our checkin and checkout which allowed us to enjoy her place and the city even longer without strict timelines. The rooms are nicely decorated and super clean. Bed and linens are comfortable. The home is located walking distance to the downtown and pier which is where we spent most our time. Leigh even made a yummy cake which was a nice treat when we returned from the evening. We want to thank her for such a nice stay at her home and will return when we come back to the area. It was exactly what we were looking for rather than a regular hotel stay.

Clean, updated facilities. Docks are wide, slips are a bit narrow for backing out a long boat. Bathrooms are good, laundry on site is convenient. Easy walk into town, G's pizza and Marions ice cream. Bay is sheltered, but shallow. Helpful staff.

Beautiful and cozy with a great location. The place was decorated in Victorian style throughout with attention to detail. Leigh, the owner is a real gem. She made us miss our grandmothers as she is a delight to talk to with information on just about everything. She made a delicious breakfast with a smile on her face the entire time. She loves what she does and it shows. We will definitely be back!

Thank you, ever so much, Diane You have blessed this home with your encouragements and presence. Do hope you will find your way back to East Tawas again. Even though so many events had to be cancelled due to Covid, you made the best of it with your hiking, biking and beaching. I appreciated your catching enthusiasm Blessings, Leigh

This place is absolutely lovely! We had a wonderful stay, however, the hostess does not (or no longer) cooks breakfast. At lease not for us. Just wanted to mention that since it's advertised as a B&B. Thankfully there are breakfast options within walking distance. Overall a lovely place with an equally lovely hostess.

Recently stayed while doing business in the area. This will be our home whenever we are in the area. Great view, great location, very well looked after. A home away from home. Leigh is such a delight to talk with. The location is within walking distance of the downtown shops and restaurants.

What a beautiful bed & breakfast home. Leigh is a gem, a wonderful lady with old fashion hospitality. We enjoyed many conversations with her and look forward to our next one when we visit again. Truly relaxing with views of Lake Huron.

When the owner of a small b&b is having a bad day, service can suffer. So while the location is convenient (although the train sounds like it's going through the house in the middle of the night!), and the rooms spotlessly clean, we unfortunately will not be staying here again.

I am deeply sorry and apologetic regarding your less than comfortable stay last July, 2013. It would be so helpful if you would verify the specific date and room, explain your comments re "sleep quality" and what you found to be lacking in "service". Since it has been five months since your stay here, it is difficult to respond to having had a "bad day". July and August are our most active months and are generally fully booked I am in my 18th year here, immensely enjoy my work and delight in my gracious and appreciative clientele which is largely repeat. Thank you so much for taking the time in your busy schedule to write your comments. Our guest reviews are always welcome and through them we are able to correct any concerns. We also appreciate it very much if those concerns are brought to our attention during the stay with us in order that we may rectify any problem(s) immediately. A few words about Value. We base our rates on the entire property and maintenance, thereof. Other than the sleeping rooms, this includes six public areas with piano, TV's, libraries and game areas, dining area and family room, two decks and an acre of groomed park like lawn, with trees, shrubbery and flowers and lawn games. We realize when guests are just passing through for one night, they are unfortunately unable to take advantage of these offerings. I do apologize, once again, for any lack and inconvenience you experienced. Wishing you a healthy and prosperous New Year, Cordially, Leigh Mott

We stayed here as we toured Michigan's lovely east shore. Leigh was a wonderful hostess, the room was lovely and her establishment is very neat and clean. As a previous reviewer noted this was once the home of a railroad magnate my husband and I really enjoyed watching the train pass my before we retired for the night. Breakfast was delicious and Leigh was delightful and helpful we would highly recommend the East Tawas Junction B&B
