We were passing thru and knew of the place from some 20 years prior but had never stayed here. We were very happy with the price and the room was very clean and showed pride of ownership. We were able to sleep in since things were pretty quiet. I was hoping for more view of Lake Huron but was ok...

A friend and I stayed at the Bambi for three nights. It was recommended by a friend who, like us, visited Tawas Point for spring birding. I like that the place seems partly from another era. It is small and on one level. You get a conventional key, not a plastic key card. Some of the decor has a vintage...

This is a nice little hotel. It is very clean. It is not luxurious just very homey. There are no great amenities (free breakfast in the morning, big lobby to hang out in and use the computer if you didn't bring one, etc) but a great place to rest your head for the night. It does have wifi which is...

Lovely motel. Quiet, clean, warm...and the rooms have baths! Ideal for a nice soak after a day birding. Only 10 minutes away from Tawas Point State Park. There is a Big Boy 100 yards away which sells good coffee and cake. G's Pizzeria is half a mile down the road (10 min walk). Pretty much perfect for our needs. Oh...and...

After having the employees complain about the first motel I had booked them into in East Tawas, we moved our reservations to the Bambi Motel. The woman who runs it, Kay Childs, is kind and accommodating. The guys reported that the rooms are very clean. And if you like retro decor, this is the place for you. One employee reported...

This is a great place to stop and sleep! Owners are very friendly. Rooms are spotless. Two things to know, bring your own pillow (the ones there are paper thin) and it's a bit noisy through the walls.

Small--not a lot of units. Family owned and operated. The friendly thoughtful accommodating staff reflect family pride. Individual units/cottages are cleaned and maintained by family members and are exceptionally clean and comfortable. Nicely decorated. Would not hesitate to stay again.

The Bambi has been around forever so don't go if you are seeking ultra plush modernity, but if you want a spotlessly clean and friendly place less than a mile from downtown east Tawas and right on us 23, this is your spot! Friendly owners who are local members of the business community. There is even a small area of...

Bill and Kay make every stay in the Tawas area enjoyable. The rooms are always clean and cozy. The nightly gathering around the campfire makes everyone feel like family. The small motel with all of the updated rooms make every stay enjoyable.

We managed to snag the last room available on a Saturday night. We were told that they usually allow only 2 night minimums on summer weekends, but this was available, and that it was the smallest. It was. It's perfect for what you need it for. A place to sleep. It was clean. Smelled clean, looked clean. Full size bed...
