The hosts are not friendly. They just do not seem happy. The place is filled with clutter, especially in the dining/kitchen area. It needs a health department inspection. The place, despite its name, is relatively far away from Sleeping Bear Dunes. We have stayed in many B&Bs. We will never return to this one.

Our host "Van" was very hostile and passive aggressive. We did not stay for breakfast because we did not want to be around him. The Wi -Fi was too weak for more than one of us to watch Netflix at a time. The drinking glasses in our room were dirty. There was a cobweb in the shower area and there...

This was actually the first B&B my husband and I had ever stayed in. What we liked: Very welcoming hosts (mostly Van, as we didn't talk much with Susan), beautiful property, very convenient location (15 min from Glen Arbor, 20 to Traverse City), clean room, excellent breakfast. What we didn't like: The public spaces in the house were really cluttered...

The Sleeping Bear Bed and Breakfast was all we had hoped it to be. The location was convenient to the NP, wineries and between the towns of Empire and Glen Arbor. The home was comfortable and far away from the heavy traffic. Susan and Van, our hosts were very friendly and accommodating. They cooked us a delicious breakfast each morning....

Great B&B with alot of character and style. Out in the country, but not too far from Sleeping Bear Dunes. Van & Susan are gracious hosts and serve breakfasts with a style and presentation that put a smile on our faces. Our room was clean, comfortable and quiet - very relaxing. We enjoyed the landscaping and outside with several spots...

Fortunately, we stayed at Sleeping Bear B&B on a weekend trip through Sleeping Bear Dunes Nat. Lakeshore. The innkeepers were friendly and informative, the breakfasts were delicious. The 1891 farmhouse and grounds provide comfortable and unique amenities. We found it enchanting.

Stayed here for a night with a friend while visiting the dunes. Stayed in the Gilbert room upstairs. Very quiet and comfortable. They really make you feel welcome and gave us advice on a place to eat dinner. It was late and most places were closing but they sent us to a popular hot spot in town and that too...

First time ever at a Bed and Breakfast....Susan and Van were fantastic host and hostess to the Sleeping Bear Dunes area. .. Susan is a French chef with credentials and breakfasts to prove it. The sauces and scones were wonderful and their knowledge of the area was so helpful to us. So many nice tiny touches too numerous mention in...

We always enjoy staying at this lovely B&B close to Glen Arbor and Empire, but out of the fray. Comfortable rooms, pretty garden. Enjoy the quiet and watch the hummingbirds at the window while you eat Susan's delicious breakfasts.

Stayed here for one night. Had the main floor bedroom, which was quite large and comfortable. It is right off the lounge with glass doors and curtains, so we found that a little uncomfortable. We were there during a regional power failure, but they had power fortunately. Breakfast was quite satisfactory, with juice, coffee, fruit cup and French toast. The...
