We were happy with our stay at Sleeping Bear Bed and Breakfast. Our room was quiet and cozy, with a good bed. We had a very nice breakfast the next morning. We did share a bathroom, but it was very clean and not a problem because it was clearly stated when we booked the room. If you need lodging away...

We have been coming to this wonderful B & B since 2011 and each stay is just as magical as the first. Susan and Van (the proprietors) are very welcoming to each of their visitors. (Although I should add that it does help to be a gracious and considerate guest) Susan has a wonderful touch in the kitchen and her...

We still have, I believe, the record for the longest stay at the Sleeping Bear. It was a matter of two weeks plus; we had stayed for one to two weeks during the preceding two summers. We were graciously received on all occasions and never had a repeat breakfast menu. The inn keepers were as charming as the other guests...

We stayed in the Leelenau room since or 16 year old son was traveling with us. The room has occupancy for 4, but no room for anything else. The beds were clean, comfortable, and the sheets were even ironed. Our hosts had a lot of pride in their home. The room had a lot of funky angles and was not...

I don't have a lot of experience with B&B's, so I hope my review is fair. The place is away from the hustle and bustle of Glen Arbor and Empire, which is what we were looking for. The place is an old farmhouse with 4 rooms. Two have bathrooms, two have to use a hallway bathroom. We stayed in the...

Right off 72 on the way to the lake. Absolutely loved this place. Our hosts, Van and Sharon's many talents were immediately apparent. Sharon is an amazing cook. Breakfast was some kind of omelet with some kind of soft white cheese and red peppers, served with thick crispy bacon. buttered toast muffins, fruit and juice. Van is a sculptor by...

We stayed one night as part of a golfing trip back in June 2014. Very welcoming hosts, fantastic breakfast (incredible cinnamon scones and maple cured bacon), clean and comfortable rooms. Hope to visit again soon. Recommended.

If you like your gardens hidden and your breakfasts hearty, this place is for you. Within easy reach of Sleeping Bear Dunes, great boutique towns and awesome restaurants, Susan and Van run a tight n' tidy lil b&b. All aspects of our stay (reservations, check in, finding recommendation for restaurant) were easy and low-keyed. Wonderful experience, highly recommended.

We visited Sleeping Bear Dunes area last week and this B & B was a great location. It is a few miles outside of Empire but that was not a problem for us; it is also conveniently located to Glen Arbor. The hosts were friendly and very helpful and knowledgeable about what to see in the area, good restaurants, etc....

This place was great for us. It is a well managed B&B in an old farm house. It is close to the Sleeping Bear Dunes. The owner gave us great info on seeing the dunes and on dining in the area. The owner is an artist and has many of his own art on display as well as great gardens....
