We had not stayed at the Marv Herzog Hotel before and have only seen pictures online, so we decided to book a room overnight. The hotel lobby is beautiful and cozy, with a huge fireplace and leather chairs and interesting artifacts and displays about Marv Herzog. The parking underneath the hotel is a little tight for cars and if you have a larger truck or car, it can get a little tricky trying to find a space with alot of room, but there is overflow parking across the street as well. There is a huge patio on the back of the hotel with view of the river and it is very tranquil. There are complimentary drinks and snacks every nite from 5-8 and you can sit outside on the patio at the tables or chairs and enjoy the quiet and view of the river. The rooms were very immaculate and there is a balcony facing the river. The balcony is very small and in close proximity to the other rooms balcony, but the view is very beautiful. The t.v. in our room was very snowy and not a great picture, but the hotel did what they could to make ammends for this. Fridge in room was turned up at the highest, but did not get cold until the next morning, so just be aware of that if you need to put something in there. There was no hot breakfast because of Covid, but they had pre-packed muffins and danish's, fruit and yogurt, coffee and juices. Dining area very clean and distancing was put into place, which was very helpful. We would stay here again as it was a very comfortable and quiet place to relax. Staff was very friendly and welcoming as well.…
Covid restrictions only had an effect on the breakfast and the dining room area. A complimentary happy hour from 5-7 was a great touch. They had about 6 wines to choose from and a local beer made specifically for the hotel by the brewery just a short walk down the street. It also came with a small meat and cheese plate. Beautiful patio overlooking the Cass River. The rooms were quaint and comfortable and had a small fridge and microwave. Making for one of the best nights of sleep was due to the king-size bed with an ample amount of pillows. Covered parking is available under the hotel, however, the spots are tight and may not be accessible for larger trucks. The hotel is walking distance to almost everything of note and we will definitely stay here again when visiting Frankenmuth.…
Spent one night at the Marv Herzog Hotel, which was ideally located for exploring the sights of Frankenmuth. Very easy to find and good parking under the hotel. Our room had a good view of the river in front of the hotel and there is a large patio overlooking the river to have a drink on in the evening. Our room was spotless and had a very comfortable bed, and the hotel staff did their best to work within the COVID precautions affecting everyone, with the grab and go breakfast the most obvious limitation. I would certainly recommend both this hotel and a stay inn Frankenmuth, which is a beautiful town with amazing floral displays throughout to add to the interesting architecture.
We stayed here as day one of our Michigan honeymoon and loved it! We had a river view and it was very peaceful. The hotel was very clean and they give you free drinks each day. The location is great, just a few houses up from the main drag of Frankenmuth. We will definitely be back.
We felt right at home here. Everyone was very nice, and we appreciated the steps taken to prevent exposure to Covid. They have a nightly happy hour with two free drinks per person and snacks. Breakfast was a pre-made to go bag. There really wasn't anything in it I wanted, but my friend enjoyed hers. The room was very clean, and we liked the polka music in the lobby and on the back deck by the river. Parking was very convenient under the hotel, and we were able to walk everywhere which was nice. We would definitely stay here again.
