We enjoyed our time at the Inn, but unfortunately arrived two days after the owner, his wife, and youngest son perished in an aircraft accident. There was a somber atmosphere, and yet the staff performed their services in an excellent manner. We offered our hopes and prayers for their remaining son and the burdens now on his shoulders.

We stayed here after a day at Mackinac Island. What a wonderful discovery. The entire town is very beautiful. The rooms were spacious and well laid out. Reception and the dining area for the free breakfast were wonderful too. The staff was very cheerful and helpful too. Loved it.

This hotel is in a nice area, very close to the beach, in a quiet neighborhood. The rooms are clean and as shown. The prices are amazing for the size of the room. True, the breakfast is not the best, but it is very adequate, and the outdoor seating is nice. I would stay here again, and I would recommend...

We decided to stay in Harbor Springs a night in our annual fall trip 'up north'. We chose the Colonial Inn this time and were moderately happy. The property is about a mile from downtown Harbor Springs. As we entered our room, we noticed a particularly musty smell which improved by opening windows and removing some humidity by running the...

We loved the Colonial Inn. It was recommended by our soccer club manager. We stayed there for the Autumn Blast soccer tournament in Petosky. It was only a 20 minute drive to the fields. The mattresses were wonderful. Very pleasant sleep. Service desk was very helpful. And the continental breakfast was great: make your own waffles, fresh fruit, cereal, bagels,...

Stayed one night...had a very pleasant stay. Reservations and check-in were seamless with very nice young lady at the front desk. Beautiful grounds, well maintained rooms, very clean and modern considering this is an older building. Room was huge, nice balcony, comfortable bed and very nice bathroom with separate shower and toilet. Breakfast in the main building dining room was...

We reserved rooms at the Colonial Inn for our special bike ride on The Little Traverse Wheelway. We loved the remodeled rooms that have a modern, cottage type feel. The rooms are bright and cheery, with good bathrooms. The complimentary breakfast was delicious, and you could make your own waffles. The guy at the front desk was very helpful about...

We love this town and the Colonial Inn. Harbor Springs is filled with history as is the town where the old money families have built immense "summer homes" resembling those you'd find in Chicago suburbs on Lake Michigan. The standards are high and you can feel it. The hotel has been renovated recently and the rooms are comfortably large. they...

We stayed for one night at the Colonial Inn in the two bedroom suite. It was a great place in a beautiful neighborhood. The staff was helpful and gave a lot of information regarding the area. The rooms were clean and the bathroom with the huge soaker tub was an added plus! Wish we would have booked another night. The...

Yes, the water is a block or so away. Plenty of sidewalks. We did not look for a hiking trail.

When I was their the entire east building was torn up. The manager said they were adding twelve of them. She said the owner takes personal pride in the hotel and has been doing nonstop renovation for the past 5 years. I hope this answers you question. You could also call the property.
