We stayed here as part of a Murder Mystery weekend. The room itself was fairly clean, but incredibly dated with lots of wear and tear. There was a panel in the ceiling light fixture completely missing and the drawers in the dresser seemed to be on the verge of completely giving up. The lotion in the bathroom was definitely not...

A great weekend experience. The staff goes above and beyond and are all very friendly and accommodating. The rooms were clean and spacious. The sleigh ride, dinner and elk viewing was so much fun. Cross country skiing and snow showing available. A great winter escape!

This is a very well kept and clean place to stay. Obviously it is a golf resort with elk activities because of the area. It has the advantages of seclusion from the highway and a nice wooded setting. It had snowed the day we arrived and there was a couple of inches of snow on all of the walks to...

The staff of Thunder Bay Resort really know how to provide an excellent "Up North" experience! Enjoyed our spacious Suite with great WIFI, comfortable beds, clean and neat. The Sleigh ride (wheeled because of not enough snow) was a lot of fun. We saw many beautiful Elk in their private preserve. Our guide and driver were fun and knowledgeable. The...

What a great and unique experience. From making the reservation from the sleigh ride to the incredible meal, this was one of the highlights of our winter. The history of this experience was fascinating, and the sleigh ride with blankets and great company made this awesome. Then to be taken to a rustic, yet beautiful lodge where a gourmet meal...

My boyfriend and I visited Thunder Bay for my birthday and were very happy with the experience. We stayed in a whirlpool suite and were surprised with how much space we had! The room was very clean and we loved relaxing in the whirlpool tub. The elk viewing dinner package on Saturday was really fun and a very memorable experience....

This was well worth the money. It is was a totally excellent event. The dinner was superb including the wine tasting, Presentation and service along with much information about this resort given by the founder. The horse drawn trail ride was beautiful and we did see elk in several places. We are planning on going again.

We bought our employees and family to Thunder Bay Resort for a weekend getaway. We had an awesome time. Comfy, very clean, lodging. With a Northern Michigan feel. The sleigh ride was about perfect. Very beautiful and so informative. The Elk we saw on our ride were magnificent!! We got so close also. Our group ranged in age from about...

We did this for our Christmas gift to each other. It was a perfect outing. We went through the woods on a sleigh pulled by horses. First we viewed elk then on to dinner in a lodge in the woods. So cozy with the wood fireplace and dinner cooked on wood stoves. Food and wine was delicious. After dinner we...

Weekend elk viewing sleigh ride dinner experience. Went mid-January to tak advantage of the snow and the X-C skiing and snowshoeing. Took my wife--romantic weekend. My goodness. Thunder Bay Resort, our hosts Jack and Jan....if your fancy runs to the outdoors you simply cannot miss this opportunity. Accommodations are fine. Not luxury, but up north fine. And spacious! Suite-style with...
