We really enjoyed our stay in the Pines Nature Suite! The trip from Holland up to Traverse City along Route 22 (scenic route) was beautiful and well worth the extra time! Breakfast delivered to our door and we were all able to order what we wanted! Wonderful place to stay!

The owners were obsessed with leaving laminated instructions all over the room. Even though we asked for no service, he went in anyway explaining that he "had to monitor the hot tub". So, even though he went in he never took the garbage out, OR he took all but the bathroom garbag

Thank you for staying with us. I am sorry your visit did not turn out as you planned. After you mentioned it in your review we checked the DVD player in that suite and you are correct there was an issue. Someone had disconnected the leads and reconnected them in the wrong order, it was a quick fix. Unfortunately, had we been made aware of the issue, we would have gladly taken care of it for you so you wouldn't have had to deal with it. We are surprised by the comment the TV kept cutting out, it is a new 55" HDTV that we have not had any issues with. We did check it, and it does seem to be functioning fine. David did go up into the suite to do routine maintenance on the Jacuzzi, a private Jacuzzi is a great amenity but it does require that we stay on top of maintaining it, which means checking the chemicals daily. As the note David left behind says he only goes on the tiled side of the suite (Jacuzzi, wet bar, sauna) and is focused on checking the Jacuzzi. He does bring fresh towels since they are often required and will empty the trash near the wet bar if needed. Since you had place a "no service" required sign out we try to only go in the areas that we need to, so he wouldn't go looking for other items and that is why the bathroom trash did not get emptied. There are 3 lamented signs in the suite, they are instructions for the Jacuzzi and Sauna and gas fireplace. Even though we do a quick walk through on how to operate these at check-in, most guest do not have these amenities in there home and for their health and safety it helps to have operating instructions in the suite for them to refer to. Since we do a made to order breakfast that is made from scratch each day, we need to know what items to prep each morning and what time we need to start, as we are in the kitchen 2 hours before the first service. If it gets close to 8:00 pm and we have not received the next days breakfast menu we do place a small reminder sign on the outside of the suite door. We have found that guests coming back later in the evening after dinner often forget that they did not turn in their breakfast menu for the next day and are appreciative of the reminder. I am sorry I did not get a chance to meet you, I was downstate during your visit. Thank you again for staying with us

We stayed at Lake N Pines for the first time in September and signed up for the ATV package. The suite was clean and cozy. The food and service was great! A great breakfast menu was provided and the food was great. Dave actually delivered it to the room. The ATV trails were

Room was neat and clean. Owner was thoughtful and pleasant to deal with. Breakfast was great! Location was near all attractions we desired. Public boat ramp was closed on the lake but owner compensated us for the inconvenience. Would highly recommend staying if looking for a peac

Hi, my children will return to Interlochen Summer Camp for the 3rd year in a row. I'll come and visit Interlochen on the following dates this summer: 1) June 26-30 4 night; 2) July 14-20, 6 nights; and 3) August 6-9, 3 nights. I've heard lots of good reviews about your place. I'd like to know 1) How far are you from the Interlochen main campus; and 2) is your place available for the dates I've listed above? Many thanks.
Thank you for the inquiry. We are 4 miles from the Interlochen Fine Arts Academy. Unfortunately, we are sold out for all of the dates above. Hope you can stay with us in the future! Melanie

The Lake N Pines is less than 5 miles from Interlochen Arts Academy, less than 10 minutes. Very easy drive. Definitely stay here if they have space available!
