Stayed here for a late summer getaway to Ludington. It was clean, with a nice pool and hot tub. Staff was very friendly. Very affordable-I would have given 5 stars, except for 2 things: 1) shower was TINY, and drain was plugged, and 2) mattress was a bit hard for my taste. Otherwise it’s a decent place to stay, great location. It’s got that vintage family motel vibe that is part of the Ludington experience.
This is a very nice motel, however needs some updating. Very clean, staff is very friendly. Probably a bit over priced for the accommodations. No microwave, no mini fridge. Coffee is served at 7 so if your leaving before that you will need to stop somewhere else for your morning brew.
We stayed two nights at the Viking Arms in mid-July and had a great time. Dave and Dawn are wonderful hosts and keep a great, locally-owned "mom and pop" hotel. The rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable and the pool was absolutely perfect. This is truly the place to spend your Ludington vacation.
Stayed one night. Check in was EZ. Room was Older but clean. No noise from the road. Bed was hard but sleepable. The only issue was the bathroom was freezing. No heat source for it. We walked to the ball drop, it was one mile but an EZ one. Would stay again.
I worked at The Viking arms. It is a horrible place to stay! Avoid it at all costs, it is dirty and the owners are really rude. The jacuzzi rooms flood almost every day and the owners usually blame the guest but the tubs are all broken. We got angry past guests calling all the time yelling because the Viking arms double charged their credit card and they would always blame the guests bank and do a quick credit back on their card. Very dishonest and should not be in business.
