We came to my favorite island the last weekend in June to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. We had never stayed on the island but this time we wanted to stay and hike the numerous trails. We had checked a different B&B but they were full. That turned out to be a blessing. We choose to stay at the Metivier...

Just a lovely setting, wonderful personnel and great location! Will definitely stay here again! And an FYI, this was our 4th trip to the Island and we HIGHLY recommend taking a private carriage tour which you can contract with at the park. For a few extra $, you're not in a cattle car tour. You've got the driver to yourself...

We had a one bed, first floor (overlooking the porch) room that was super clean, beautifully decorated, very comfortable!! Everyone was incredibly friendly, from the porter to the owner. The flowers were spectacular and we watched while other visitors stopped to take pictures of them all day through! Breakfast was like no other buffet style that I've had, very good,...

The staff here were friendly, and were nice enough to suggest a few attractions and restaurants when we checked in. The B&B was clean, and the decor was pretty standard. Furniture was in good shape. The bed had what I think was a 3 inch think memory foam mattress topper on it. I'm not sure if it was intended to...

Good friends have stayed here in the fall for several years and have shared stories of their great times. We decided to celebrate our 40th anniversary there during the Lilac Festival. Our adult children wanted to provide a couple special dinners for us and called Blanca to see how they might obtain some gift cards to nice restaurants. She was...

This was our first visit to Mackinac island and also was our 20th wedding anaversiry, I just retiered from 22 years in the Air Force. The B&B was just one street behind main street and I was very pleased to see this. Main street was so busy, loud and crowded but the street that the Metivier was on was nice...

We have stayed at the Metivier Inn on several occasions. It is a quaint B&B located on Market St., one block over from Main Street. It is exceptionally clean and comfortable. The rooms are reasonable spacious. Even though it is very close to Downtown, one feels amazingly secluded. There is plenty of space to "hang out" on the porch and...

Wow - an exceptional greeting by our host and hostess. We arrived a little early - 2 hours - they had our room ready so easy peasy. Gave us the low down about the happenings and off we went to explore. We returned at about 6 pm and again were greeted by friendly folks. Room is nice and the island...

Beautiful Inn inside and out with a great location on Market Street one block from Main Street and easy access to attractions. Rooms are very clean, quiet, and nicely appointed with decor and comfortable beds, towels and toiletries. We were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary and stayed 2 nights in room 22, which had a queen bed and two chairs,...

Because of health problems at home my husband and I couldn't afford or take much time to go very far or spend a lot of money. One day he surprised me with this trip for our 30th anniversary and told me we were staying at the Metivier Inn. When we arrived we couldn't have been more pleased. We stayed in...
