What a quaint and wonderfuly located b&b. Once your car is parked there is no need to move it. House was spotless and host were lovely. Breakfast was yummy and offered a varity to eat. Rooms are as described.
My wife and I stayed in the Hemingway room and had a comfortable and relaxing stay. The bed was soft and warm. The bathroom was clean and accommodating and the breakfast was out of this world. The inly drawback was pieces of rust or something...More

To insure our safety, our Village performs hydrant flushing & valve checks twice a year - this sometimes results in water discoloration for a few minutes when the water is turned on. Sorry if this created an inconvenience for you. We liked your photos!
I stay at Deer Head any time I'm in town. Rooms are clean, nicely appointed, quiet, and beds are very comfortable. Nice alternative to the noisy hotel hallway and rattling a/c unit. But what really makes the stay - are the Hosts. Warm, helpful, generous....More
Really liked this place, one of those one-off quirky US hotels - not cheap but well worth it for the experience. Every room based on a different theme, very comfortable and clean, would highly recommend.

Michigan's Dept. of Environmental Quality requires a Spring & Fall hydrant flushing & valve check to keep our water safe. Sometimes it causes a discoloration of the water, but usually, after running the water a minute or so the discoloration goes away. That's most likely...More
