The cabins are a bit wonky and need work, but they are clean. The owners live on site and are available even after hours. Lots of activities for the kids, great swimming, boats to paddle or rent, fishing , bonfire, playground. Adults can relax on the beach or in the shade while the kids have a good time. Internet is...

We stayed in the motel rooms by the beach at Birch Shores for 3 nights. Our family of four was in one room and my parents were in the room next door. Before arriving, we had asked many questions so we kind of knew what to expect. We knew there was no TV. We knew the rooms were "rustic." We...

We have been vacationing at Birch Shores since 1985, and it feels like we're all part of the Bitely family. Lots of beach time, fishing and relaxing. This is my time to unwind! If you're looking for a cabin on beautiful Manistique Lake, definitely look at Birch Shores!

This is my favorite resort in Michigan's U.P! The owners take hospitality to the next level. This rustic resort is family friendly and many customers have been coming for generations. This is not a place to stay if you expect good cell network. However, if you are looking for a place to relax, unwind and enjoy time with family and...

Lovely couple will do anything they can to make your stay complete. There's tons of activities for the family. Great location! Boat included in rental; and well worth it. The lake is fully stocked! Will be returning!

My entire family and I have been going to Birch Shores for decades. The cabins are cozy and spacious and the beachfront on Lake Manistique is perfect. The resort has been family owned since it opened 50+ years ago and that family is courteous, welcoming, and very accommodating. Nothing beats a summer week in the U.P. at Birch Shores!

We have vacationed at Birch Shores for 2 years. Most of the other visitors have been staying there for 20-40 years. The cabins are cozy and the night breeze and epic sunsets are something I miss as I write this. Easy travel to lots of U.P. tourist spots. Fishing has been fair, but exceptional trout fishing is w/n reach on...

we have spent 41 years vacationing in the area and Birch Shores is a shining example of hospitality and comfort in the Northern Woods. Our week was very nice and meeting friends there was an added treat.

Birch Shores is a family tradition that we have enjoyed every summer the most of my life. I have stayed here as a kid, parent, grandparent. We enjoy our relationship with the Owners family that has also panned over 3 generations. However, our continued visits are now becoming more based on loyalty than the condition and enmities of the resort....

Location is beautiful. Look forward to spending time on the lake on non-rainy days. Fun evenings at the campfire on the beach. Cabins are functional but are in need of updating. Old beds/mattress make restful sleep difficult.
