We had a hut by the waterhole which was well positioned for watching the comings and goings. Wildlife visits to the waterhole were pretty much constant, including by Black Rhino which were regular visitors between dusk and early evening (and maybe later too, but by 9.00pm we had had our fill). The food in the restaurant was good, but done...

Basic Campsite with good main faciliteis, swimming pool, shops and restaurant. Beautifull day and night game watching at adjacent waterhole with lot's of elephants, Rhino's, Giraffes, Springboks and Oryx. Please be aware of wild Jackals, frequently visiting the camping site between dusk and dawn.

We stayed in the premier waterhole chalets as part of our Namibia 2016 trip. The location is awesome as you see a lot of plains animals in addition to a whole lot of Black rhinos after sunset and we also saw a brown hyena on the last day. The premier waterholes are worth the splurge and this is one of...

The rooms in the bush chalets are nice. Good area around the pool. The waterhole is amazing. We stayed from 16 to midnight and enjoyed it very much. The waterhole is the reason to stay here and it is worth it. It is a big place, not especially good service. Poor selection in the shop. Very plain breakfast

We stayed in two different chalets, the waterhole one for our first visit in a waterhole chalet and one of the family units for the second. Both were nice and clean. The service was really great. Food was served very promptly in the restaurant and the only complaint might be that the service was too good! Despite a full restaurant...

There is only one reason to stay here : the waterhole. You can really see a lot of animals. We were there late afternoon , after dinner and I returned to the waterhole 3 times during the night : amazing. Several giraffe , elephants , rhinos , ... visting the waterhole. For the rest : the Waterhole units are nice...

I took a very long time pondering whether I should book two nights at the infamous Okaukuejo Rest Camp - known on TA for the poor standards of service. In fact many people I spoke with had advised against staying at this Rest Camp, but I'm glad we spent two nights at this amazing place. The waterhole does most of...

The Waterhole is what makes this camp. Most of the larger animals can be viewed at the waterhole inside the camp which is lit 24/7. The bathrooms are basic and often a long walk from some sites. There is a shop that sells the basics: Beer, cool drinks, ice creams etc. There are 3 pools of varying sizes adjacent to...

After camping at (quiet) Olifantsrus camp, the large and busy Okaukuejo camp proved to possess quite a different atmosphere, with lots of people and overland trucks it was quite busy and 'touristy'. Campsites were OK, with electricity, braai facilities, clean sanitary facilities and water taps, although maintenance of some of the sanitary facilities could have been better. Okaukuejos waterhole attracts...

When you enter the camp the restrooms are in an absolute dismal state. One is to scared to use them. The shop is a poor excuse for one and the same can be said of the curio shop. The swimming pool is up to standard and was clean. The rooms are small but really beautifully done. Unfortunately you cannot prepare...
