The guide was totally disinterested and to be honest I don't believe they had the animals they claimed to. The lodge itself is clean, beautiful and quiet and the staff very charming and helpful. But it's quite soulless and I think I'd chose somewhere else.

We were lucky enough to stay as a family (2 adults and 2 children aged 11 & 8) at Aoba Lodge for two nights on 10th & 11 August. We stayed on the return leg of a two week loop around Namibia having started at Windhoek, travelling through the Gamsberg mountain pass, Swakopmund, Khorixas to South Etosha. After a day...

As from the first moment we felt extremely welcome at Etosha Aoba Lodge. Everything was done to make our stay convenient and pleasant, and the location was outstanding. Nelson, the manager, gave everything a personal touch. And when you decide to visit Aoba, do the sundowner expedition with Samuel.

We stayed two nights at the Aoba Lodge and we got to admit that it exceeded all our expectations. The welcome was very professional and friendly, thanks to the excellent manager Nelson. Wine lovers would love this place, as we were kindly invited by Nelson for a splendid wine tasting in the small but interesting wine cellar. Special attention goes...

We stayed at Aoba for four days and loved every minute of it to the comfortable rooms, great food and the excellent service from the staff. On our last evening Albertina even showed us how to play Owela, a local game. Samuel. our guide during two game drives in Etosha, one sundowner and one walk in Onguma, was an excellent...

When we – a group of 4 friends – stayed at the Etosha Aoba Lodge (April 2013) it had apparently just undergone a thorough makeover, and the place had only just reopened for business. Nelson, the manager, welcomed us announcing we were the only guests staying at the lodge that night. The cabins are spread out along a footpath meandering...

We just spent four nights at the Etosha Aoba Lodge (taking advantage of one of their low season specials). The entire experience was amazing. To begin with, the location of the lodge is excellent--right at the eastern side of the Etosha park, in a private nature reserve. To get to the lodge you have to travel down a dirt road,...

I loved this place. It is quite a drive from the main road over a bumpy road, but that is part of the experience. In the end, you end up in paradise. The staff was very friendly. Our travel organisation made a mistake in our reservation (wrong month) but they dealt with it perfectly. A special thanks to Nelson who...

We stayed here the night before heading into Etosha. We received a welcome drink and arrived just in time in order to join the sundowner drive, which is a fun way to see some of the animals on the property (the Aoba lodge is actually also a big park) and to enjoy a beautiful sunset with an actual bar set...
