The online rate was hiked up to almost twice the walk-in rate for the room I booked. In comparison, I found a very nice room at Johana’s on Balay Beach for a lower rate. Gum Leaves just want to get the highest possible rate for unsuspecting customers for a very poor quality room. The room at Gum Leaves was small...

10 years living in Asia and traveling around the region, this place was the pits, i paid 750pp a night for a fan and a toilet that didn't work and on top of that it has a night club that blasts the doors off until the early hours. But the worst part was the place is owned and run by...

We paid 850p for a basic fan room with CR and TV This place had a salt water pool with bar and restaurant on the ocean. Restaurants and clubs...

Over the last 2 years I have stayed at the Emu tavern on numerous occasions. I usually stay for upto 3 weeks, so have a fair idea of the establishment. It is a budget hotel, you pay for what you get. There are 12 rooms. 8 within the main building & 4 outside. All rooms are clean yet simple. They...
