Havent seen other hostels in leon but i liked this one. Big hostel, lot of toilets, confortable beds, locker for every bed, swimming pool, PCs, hammocks. Attention from the crew was really good, solving all our problema. Tours are amazing with the best volcano guide ever, "el chino", we learnt a lot from him. I stayed two night with a...

This place was great and totally cheap...$8 bucks I think! Places to hang out and read, clean showers, a little pool, 12 people to a dorm though and it's warm - very very warm. There's a ceiling fan, but it doesn't do much. There are little mice that will eat your food no matter how well you hide it. So,...

I would recommend not staying here, there are plenty of great hostels in town, so go spend your time and money elsewhere. The hostel looks ok in first impression but it is really poorly maintained and not clean. We had a MOUSE as a guest in our room on our first night, and a huge TARANTULA! – the kind you...

Its got a decent ( albeit murky) pool, lots of tables and chairs and free wifi for guests. Its in a great location, and the staff were friendly. Keep in mind that customer service in Nicaragua is growing slowly, so I don't ever expect too much- its just not part of the culture yet. What really killed me was the...

So reading some of the other reviews: of course it is hot, most hostels are if they dont have AC. The dorms are always open and much cooler as it gets cool at night. The individual rooms are hot even with fans. That's just how it always will be without AC. Staff spoke minimal English for the non-spanish speakers, but...

On first glance the hostel looks good. It has a swimming pool, pool table, free computers. nice areas to relax. We decided it was a decent option and booked into a private room. Unfortunately during our first night (at around 2am) my girlfriend was awoken by rustling. She woke me up and after jumping up and turning on the lights...

This could be a great hostel as it has a nice swimming pool (which is very welcome in the Leon heat) and some other good facilities but unfortunately due to the fact that the staff here are incredibly rude and unhelpful it ruins the whole experience. If you don't want to be asked simple questions or just genuinely be polite...

The place is so spacious that even though it's hot you can escape to the shade. The breakfast is really nice and cheap and you can sit in the courtyard. The place is so clean, always being tidied and the pool is lovely. Would recommend to everyone. Only downside is that the dorms are right next to the road so...

I really loved my experience at Hostal Lazybones. It is NOT a party hostel, which I prefer, and all games/activities are shut down by 10:30p. The entrance is always locked and very secure. We were lucky to get a room upstairs because it is very hot in Leon. The rooms upstairs have frames above the doors that you can keep...

Relaxed atmosphere, quiet. Private room with bath is fine; I can't comment on the dorms or common baños. One thing missing is a safe for valuables; not unreasonable at this price level, and since the door locks are pretty basic. They kept asking me to confirm my reservation by email, even after I did so, so if you are not...
