We stayed 3 nights in this hotel. The service was very good, especially the house keepers. We had a language barrier but they were always very helpful and we always managed to explain want we needed. All of the staff was friendly and attentive. The breakfast buffet was excellent-fried cheese was some of the best we tried on this trip....

Woken up at 3 am by a car honking to get let into garage, opening if creaky gates, then at 4 am the garbage truck pulled up outside room and for the next 45 minutes the trash noises resumed. At 5am, another car wans access to garage, repeat of creaking gates. There is a crack in the wooden door it...

We've stayed only 2 nights but this place is a hidden gem in Leon. Rooms are magnificent with high ceilings and lots of space. Furniture is traditional, mini bar is stocked up with Nicaraguan rum. Hotel has a spa and a small pool. The reception staff was very helpful when we needed assistance, in fact everyone in this place was...

If you've always dreamed of spending the night in a (former) convent, then this is the place for you. There's a beautiful courtyard and relics lining the halls. The rooms are comfortable but a little dark. We had a safe in our room but no hot water in the sink or a plug. Breakfast was a small buffet. Great location...

I wish we were staying here for a week instead of two nights. Beautiful building, enchanting decor, terrific staff, big, cool rooms, comfortable beds. And the owners' gallery just up the road has the most remarkable collection of artworks. Rooms full of Picasso, Dali, Chagal. And a Central American art collection that is fascinating. Leon is a wonderful city. This...

We loved El Convento in Leon! A converted convent the hotel certainly is quirky – there are religious relics and artefacts everywhere! As with most buildings in Nicaragua the centre of the hotel is a beautiful courtyard with well-maintained trees and plants. Check in was efficient and our broken Spanish/their broken English was enough to get everything sorted. A porter...

The property was originally a convent, adapted into a hotel. The restaurant and rooms are sourranding the central garden, as ancient properties were built. With beautiful gardens and fountains. The lobby and restaurant areas are very nice, decorated and accomodated like a 1900 farm. Rooms are spacious and comfortable, everything neat, clean bathrooms. Perfectly located at 200 meters from the...

The central courtyard with plenty of spaces for rocking chairs and sofas to relax. The pool is small but welcome when it is so hot. The rooms are a good size and clean but the are quite boxy and a little soulless. Breakfast buffet was ok. Overall I enjoyed this hotel but I was staying in a small group where...
