It's my 3rd time staying at this hotel, such beautiful house, almost like a palace but this time looked a unpolished. Some walls just need to be retouched to look better, beds are OK but maybe new pillows are needed or more than 2 for a queen size bed. Breakfast was just OK. The staff could be coached in friendliness,...

Like many hotels in Nicaragua, the La Perla is sort of a place in decline. The outside of the hotel is quite nice, but the rooms are dirty and the beds cheap and uncomfortable. The front desk staff were helpful enough. Overall, just an okay place, nothing special.

I loved my time at La Perla. The hotel is gorgeous, beautiful, historic and colonial. The room was enormous, and service was exceptional. People were very helpful and always with a smile. Location is perfect, two blocks away from the main square. The hotel has a small swimming pool. The only thing is that the fixtures in the room were...

I was very comfortable here. Nice king size bed, worn but comfortable sheets, air con worked well, modern bathroom with good shower pressure, although it could have been cleaned with a little more detail. Loved the high ceilings and size of the room. I really enjoyed the balcony, galleries, architecture and decor of the hotel. Loved sitting in the rocking...

There is a cat right there where you're having breakfast, trying to steal from your plate. The carpet in my room smelled as somebody was murdered right there last week. The air conditioning does not work. Water hardly comes out from the faucet, and the toilet requires you to take the toilet tank cover every time if you want it...

A great building in a perfect location that needs help. Management is cutting corners where ever they can. The towels are all shredded around the edges and should have been replaced long ago. The large balcony and very small pool both need to have more than 4 chairs. The AC works, the water runs and breakfast, while slow, was fine.

This place has such potential. The location is fantastic and the lobby and small "grounds" of the hotel are really charming. The service is underwhelming. The staff needs training. The safes need to work, the waiters need to show up, the rooms need to be cleaned. They need new beds and much better cleaning staff. Spiders in the bathroom and...

First impressions in our room were not good as the carpet, bedding, bed cover and towels are all stained and dirty looking. It has potential but seems like they are trying to cut corners therefore is not good value for your money right now. They were not busy in the hotel, bar or restaurant - probably because prices are high....

We came here because of all those positive comments. BUT..We were massively disappointed! The Service at the check in and at breakfast is almost not existing! In the first room we had we have been woken up by screaming cleaning staff at 6 in the morning then asked for a different room.....and it got even worse. The noise from the...
