We highly recommend this small hotel surrounded by vines and countryside.
Close but not too close to A 10 , so convenient for travelling through France.

Comfortable rooms good size and clean bathrooms.

Yan and Linda looked after us very well! Breakfast was excellent.

We were going to book a local restaurant but we’re tired after driving 875km. So yan offered a light dinner made by his wife. Very good with an excellent bottle of red Château Julie Bordeaux. If you want a varied menu best to book a nearby restaurant. However for simple dinner well worth staying in!

Good parking and safe.

We highly recommend this country hotel.

This place is a gem , not to be missed on a trip to Bordeaux. The accommodation was fab , clean and nothing was missing . The food .. what can we say ! The Breakfast was absolutely amazing . Staff couldn’t do enough . They are busy people . However they still asked us to treat the Chateau as if it were our own home . Fresh strawberries & coffee brought to the terrace even though we didn’t ask . Very kind . Will recommend this Chateau to everyone.. thank you all

We spent a night at Chateau Julie as a stopover in driving from Dordogne to Normandy, and it proved excellent in all respects. Location was perfect for our purposes, since the hotel is just minutes from the motorway. Unfortunately, our stay coincided with Rinse's travel, so we were not able to sample his cooking. Renee was an attentive and energetic hostess, providing a warm welcome (including a glass of their delicious wine) and singlehandedly toting our heavy bags up to our room. She also made us a reservation at an excellent restaurant nearby. Rooms are very large and nicely furnished. Atmosphere is not cozy, because there is so much space. Ambiance is elegant and a bit formal. We enjoyed the ample, delicious breakfast and great conversation with other guests. A real value.

I can’t rate this hotel any more, this is a plus 5 star.

On the drive up to the Chateau, you are met with a beautiful chateau. Well kept grounds away from the hustle and bustle.

Yann took over this Chateau in 2017 from the previous owners. Wow he has done a good job. The hotel is spacious, clean, historic and well another world.

Wi-fi and plenty of parking available. Our room was on the 2nd floor that overlooked the beautiful vineyard. This room was a double, however the size of the Room was enormous with an old fireplace. Yann has kept a lot of the original features. Bathroom was large, very clean and bright.

After staying In 9 hotels previously to this one on a bike tour, this by far had the most comfortable bed of all, clean and comfortable bed linen. Just perfect.

Yann does not have a restaurant, however there are a few around after a very short drive away. Because we were on motorbikes he was happy to just make us a snack til breakfast. What a star. Such attentive, hard working young man.

Breakfast was lovely, continental, croissants, ham, cheese, cereals, great bread, yogurts and cherry’s for the tree outside.

I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone. We will definitely return. A MUST STAY!!!!

As you can see from other reviews this place really is truly special, it manages to capture not just the standards of a high class hotel but a home, with Rinse and Renee really great hosts, we stayed for two nights and booked the evening meal for both nights, my wife who is a real foodie fan thought Rinse cooking was really first class and certainly the best food we tasted in France, her quote was "not pretentious but really magical food" Sitting round a table in the garden chatting with travellers from all over the world was priceless. I did think about not reviewing the Chateau in case we cant book for our next trip. Thanks for a great stay. Very highly recommended.

Thank you Rinse and Renee for a truly wonderful 4 night stay at a Chateau Julie. An absolute highlight in our seven week European holiday. Beautifully furnished rooms, large bedrooms, fabulous breakfasts, a wonderful 3 course meal enjoyed in the garden along with your invaluable advice on what to see and do made this 4 very memorable days. Loved coming back after a busy day to sit a while in the library and talk about our day. Location is close to St Emillion and Bordeaux so perfect for exploring and visiting wineries. Don't hesitate to book here, we loved it!

We stayed at Chateau Julie for six nights in July, 2013. We are a family of four (two grown daughters) and opted to stay in one large room on the second floor. The room was beautiful. The best thing about the Chateau are the managers, Renee and Rinse. Both are multi-lingual, by the way, and met every single need we had (including a run to the local pharmacy and providing lots of tips and directions). The dinners here were fabulous. We could sit outside in the evening and enjoy the evenings in southern France with delicious food. Breakfasts are hearty and wonderful, plenty of coffee and juice and eggs to order if you want. The chateau is in a great spot for day trips--less than an hour to St. Emilion, for instance, or up the estuary to beautiful spots like Blaye or over to the Atlantic coast (we went to Lacanau-Ocean). Downtown Bordeaux is about a half-hour away. The Chateau is clean, friendly and, most of all, extremely accommodating to your needs. We loved it.

We had a room on the first floor and it had a lovely bathroom, with a separate shower and bath. I cannot comment about the second floor, but may I suggest you phone or email the owners, who speak excellent English. I am fussy, but this B & B was excellent and my wife and I will definitely return.
