We were on a cycling holiday in the Dordogne and this hotel was one of several that we stayed at. At the end of a very hot day we were looking forward to a rest and a swim at the pool. We were very pleased to find the lovely pool. Our meal was good and the room very comfortable. The...

Stayed as part of a walking holiday and arrived here mid afternoon on a very hot day. Rooms are smallish but clean and tidy. No English spoken here but still a very friendly welcome by the hosts. Lovely old terrace with plenty of shade although if you're looking for a beer, the license here is from 5pm. Lovely home cooked...

Not 'on your way', but well worth finding this small, somewhat whimsical hotel. Its traditional regional architecture, reminiscent of a small manor house, fits well into the equally small village of Gluges, which is a good base for hikers, of whom we met a few, or for day trips by car to nearby Martel, Rocamadour or the Padirac caves. The...

We came across this delightful, quirky establishment via a booking agency, and were certainly not disappointed! What a delightful, spectacular location under the cliff within yards of the Dordogne river. Arriving on a warm sunny afternoon, we had the opportunity to relax under the shade before using the swimming pool to cool down, then pre-dinner drinks on the terrace. The Bar...

We booked a standard room which was a bit tired and could do with being remodeled. The hotel is in a great location sitting under the limestone cliffs of Gluges and around 100 yards from the most spectacular views of the Dordogne. The pool is now finished and looks great but we declined dinner and drove into Martel - not...

Very friendly host for this hotel in a lovely village location. Best to pay a bit extra for the superior quality rooms which otherwise are a bit small. Food was good, and safe storage for bikes provided. Our only misgiving here was that the pool wasn't ready (in June?!), which was our main reason for staying here.

“Rooms overlooking the Terrace,in the Summer will undoubtedly be very warm, as they receive afternoon and evening sun. The Twin rooms on the first floor are entirely the opposite, receiving the early morning sun, so very cool and comfortable in the evening.”
