A little away from the high foot traffic area. Very clean and quite. Free parking and wonderful breakfast. Walk to everything in town. Very pleasant staff. The rooms are small but well appointed. Book direct. Highly recommended.

Stayed for only one night, but would stay again. This is a really charming, clean hotel close to the center of Noirmoutier. The rooms were very nice, the staff were very friendly and helpful, and breakfast decent. A comment on Nourmoitier though, restaurants close early (at least in the off season)- we had found a bar to watch a footie game, which finished at 9:30, at which time we headed out to find a restaurant - every place in town was closing down for the night! Admittedly we live in Spain, were restaurants often don't OPEN until 9, but we didn't think it unreasonable to be served at 10. We ended up going back to the local bar and eating horrible croq madames which were the only thing they served.

We staeyed here for night and were not disappointed. Driving into the town continue straight and it is just past the cycle / motor cycle hire shop which is on your left. Driving into the spacious car park we knew it was going to be a good stay. The receptionist was friendly and helpful but didn't speak English. The room we had was in the block to the rear which was lovely, spotlessly clean and quiet. Would definitely stay there again.

good hotel just around the corner from main centre. Noirmoutier en ile is a beautiful location which has called us back again and again. this is the best place for sea food especially oysters. Very pleasant quayside and lots of restaurants. The hotel is just a couple of hundred yards from the centre , has ample parking and a choice of room sizes

We stayed at the Autre Mer for a week at the end of June. We had a superior double room which was well furnished with sitting and sleeping areas separated, if you wished, by a sliding door, which we left open all the time. It's a 2 star hotel so not luxurious but everything was far more than adequate. The bed was comfy, the room was clean and the bathroom had everything that one would expect - and it all worked. The room was returned to a spotless state every morning which was nice too. We were at the front of the hotel and although it was noisy during the day, the traffic - both cars and people - really disappeared by bedtime. We slept with the windows open every night. Breakfast was very good with a selection of cereals, bread, pastries, cakes, fruit, yogurt, cheese and meat, with tea and coffee being readily available. Absolutely no complaints and I found myself eating enough to skip lunch most days.... All of the staff were welcoming and attentive. Overall, a brilliant place to stay for a casual, beach type of holiday, with easy access - 5 minutes walk - to the centre of town. I'd go again tomorrow and we are already looking at th same hotel for another week next year.

We only spent one night on the island of Noirmoutier en I'lle and wished we could stay forever! This island is the epitome of French seaside charm and you will not find a more comfortable, inviting and charming hotel! The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We were given the room reserved for people with disabilities (we are not disabled) and I can honestly say it was one of the largest, cleanest and most comfortable rooms I have ever stayed in. The continental breakfast was delicious and well worth the $8.5 euros. I will definitely stay there again on my next visit!

We stayed here recently for one night on our French road trip. The Hotel has a rustic beach vibe, with comfortable room size and good breakfast (have to pay extra for). Ample car parking and a 5 minute walk into the harbour area and main town. We didn't hire a bike, but it's opposite a bike hire place; which seems a popular way to explore the island. Our only issue was that the room only had one pillow per guest; we didn't ask for a second which was our fault- so definitely ask if it helps your comfort.

This hotel was absolutely lovely. The location was great, it was spotless, the lovely ladies that work there were very welcoming. It is right around the corner from the centre of the town. We loved it and would definitely recommend as in off season it was quite affordable.

Three nights in two different rooms (longish story!) as part of our tour de France. Always polite service, clean and comfortable rooms. Free and easy parking. We did everything by bike or on foot. Easy access to town...three mins walk, and a selection of restaurants, creperies, etc. and good markets. Excellent base for longer rides and walks and those wonderful beaches..go by bike though! The receptionist is really helpful and will recommend beaches and eateries to suit you. I'd certainly recommend this hotel to you...and this beautiful island. Just be aware that it is on a town road so we wore earplugs at night. Perfect! We booked breakfast which was good but there are also brekkie options in the town too.

We booked into this hotel for 1 night as we were travelling through France on our road trip along the coast. It's amazing for such a great price, a really lovely beach themed hotel within walking distance of shops, bars and restaurants and a beautiful castle. They even gave us a free upgrade ! Highly recommend this hotel.
