A shabby dilapidated building that done up could be like a Hamptons style hotel with great views.
The owner advised us on arrival that he serves no food whatsoever, and the nearest village is more than 12km away. No offer to drive us there, or to collect a pizza on our behalf, no service whatsoever. even a drink seemed a favour to produce.
What 4 * hotel does not serve food at all? Not even a sandwich.
Having paid E 280 a night, a price that seemed commensurate with a quality hotel in rural France we were very disappointed.
The swimming pool is the size of a handkerchief, the sun loungers and chairs have no cushions, and the bedrooms are a disgrace- Bathroom fittings are oddments, and look as if they are the "Managers Special from B and Q "
At 9 am, breakfast was nowhere to be seen, tables not set up, and when it did emerge, was the cheapest of yoghurt a croissant and some manky looking ham.
I would not be surprised if the place was operating out of receivership.
The price was outrageous, the place a dump, and I do not recommend anyone to stay there.
It was completely covid UNAWARE - staff did not wear masks etc.

This hotel is truly wonderful. We had the most enjoyable stay, and the owner couldn't do enough for us. One of the most memorable things was drinking cold rose on the decking, right on the waters edge.

We booked for 7 days but left 2 days early because the hotel was not satisfactory. It has an attractive location but definitely not 4 star standard! The heating system was not turned on despite cold weather and the breakfast, starters and deserts were poor. Towards the end of our stay we found we were the only guests. Proprietor insisted on charging for the two nights we did not stay, tried to charge for meals on those days, and also a supplement for the pianist in the dining room on the Saturday night!

눇Nice venue on a sunny day

we come to Noirmoutier every year and thought we would try the restaurant at this hotel this year and were v disappointed. The prix fixe menu was €41 and for this you got a starter which seemed to come direct from the supermarket, a passable cod steak and a supermarket dessert. The price was comparable with some of the better restaurants on the island but the quality was just not good. Its a shame as the view is great but we wont be going back

I have been 4 days in this Hotel de Charme together with some very important clients from 3 different European countries. We have reserved the whole hotel for 4 days and 3 nights. In november this is not the best period to visit the area but despite this, the atmosphere of the place is really magical and it captured all the guests.
The owner Eric, the maitre Bruno and the cook Fred, really made us feeling as we where at home. Very friendly and always available. Beautiful rooms and excellent cuisine helped the very positive result of our stay. Also the Noirmoutier island was fascinating in this period and well appreciated by all the guests.

From the moment we arrived, we were treated like royalty. The host, Eric, goes out of his way to make sure you are having a special experience. The rooms appear to have been recently renovated and include modern fixtures (flat screen TV, double sinks, Italian marble shower). All four rooms upstairs have a view of the water. There is Wifi throughout the hotel. The restaurant is magical; having your meals on a beautiful terrace overlooking the ocean is an experience not to be missed. The breakfast is a bit minimal but the dinners are outstanding. Be sure to order the special seafood and lobster dishes.
While on the island, be sure to rent bikes and explore the miles and miles of bike trails
