We stayed three nights here and enjoyed it greatly. The family suite with terrace provided space for everyone. The family also appreciated the swimming pool/sauna/steam room. The hotel is well located halfway between the centre of Noirmoutier-en-l'Ile and the Plage des Dames, so a 10-15 minute walk to each. We particularly appreciated the breakfast buffet, which was probably the best we've had at any hotel recently. And a special word of thanks to Thomas at reception who really went out of his way to make sure that we enjoyed our stay - merci!
Clean modern rooms with comfortable beds. Note the rooms are small... and while there is no air conditioning, we could borrow a fan from reception. The reception staff were very friendly and some could speak English. Breakfasts were very nice. The hotel is ~15 mins stroll from a nice beach - Plage Les Dames. Very happy with our stay. Watch out for mosquitos at night!
Stayed in one of the cottages for a week at the end of July. Nice accommodation and appreciated the private courtyard at the rear to keep bikes. Everything is behind a barrier, so felt very safe and secure. The pool was great for the kids. Location was perfect for the beaches and the town. We either walked or cycled to both and everything felt in easy reach. Staff helped us navigate around and were always friendly. Would definitely recommend and will likely be back.
This seems to be a family run hotel with a complex of small chalets/mini-houses in the grounds. The hotel is located on the road between the town of Noirmoutier, and the Plages des Dames beach. Beach is about 20 mins walk and town is about 25 mins walk, in hot weather. Room was comfortable, with free safe in the wardrobe. Bed very comfortable. Decor low key but a little odd some empty picture hooks, and a small mirror about 7 feet (2 metres) off the ground, which was strange. I paid extra for a room with a terrace, but the terrace only had 1 lounger, but 2 chairs and no small table to put our coffees on. Terrace was in direct view of the house opposite, which could have been remedied easily by putting some reed matting along the railings. Breakfast was extra and service was a bit of a drama, which was not really professional. Welcome at the front desk could have been a bit warmer, but was generally ok.…
My family and I stayed stayed in a 2-bedroom room and it was comfortable and quiet. What we liked the most is the service and the fact that the staff was very helpful. We had an issue with our car and they helped us to find a solution.
A warm and helpful welcome. The hotel is distinctively decorated and our room was very comfortable and clean. The location is good with plenty of parking. We were made perfectly welcome with our 2 dogs. In short we would not hesitate to stay again if in Noirmoutier again...which we would like to as it is a beautiful island to wander/cycle around.
Room was a bit small at front of hotel with a balcony but other than that all was very good. Breakfast was a treat with excellent selections, the staff were very helpful with recommendation to eat and see and we rented two bikes which enabled us to see the island without and hassle.
We spent a lovely week here and would highly recommend both the area and La Chaize. It's in a good position between the beach and the town. We loved their homemade treats for breakfast which we could smell cooking as we arrived home from the beach each day. The pool was a lovely bonus as was the terrace outside our room which was perfect for a pre dinner glass of wine or morning coffee. All in all this is a wonderful place run by wonderful people.
La Chaize has an enviable situation, walking distance to Plagne des Dames and little distance to the town of Noirmoutier. We had a small double room reasonably priced for 2 nights and because it was quiet, we didn't notice the road noise. I believe they have all sorts of difference accommodation such as family rooms, villas etc and private parking so it's very convenient. Not sure why they have a swimming pool as it's so close to the beach but maybe it's now expected for off peak attraction. The staff were super helpful with restaurant choices, bike hire etc. Also, breakfast is a fresh and impressive offering, even though most British visitors will be surprised that chocolate cake was on offer.
We stayed here overnight to break our journey on the way home and only wished we could have stayed longer. We received a very warm welcome on arrival and the gentleman on reception was extremely helpful, recommending restaurants, walks and places to see in this lovely location. The hotel is within walking distance to the beach and town centre. The room was spotless, comfortable, and spacious. Even though there wasn't much sun around, we also enjoyed sitting on the private terrace. There was plenty of choice on the breakfast buffet, including some tasty homemade items. A real gem of a place in an amazing part of the country.
