1st REVIEW, 16 years in the local.......I don't do reviews EVER (hate giving an indipendent opinion cause a picky eater), but this place warrants one....food top drawer, staff top drawer. Best food in cabopino in years!! Thanks to staff, fab. had the steak, would highly recommend!! Thanks
We had a lovely time in this hotel. It is well located, ten minutes walk from the town and close to the water. Our room was compact but adequate. We appreciated the fridge with the soft drinks included in the room rate. We had a view of the pool and the bed was very comfortable. However, as expected, the room was small and with little storage space. Breakfast was very good - lots of choice - fruit, juices, bread, pastries, eggs etc. The pool was lovely, heated to a perfect temperature and always quiet. It is a good size. However, we were a little puzzled that it didn’t open until 10am when the guide in the room stipulated 9…an earlier opening would have suited us to enable us to swim before breakfast. The surroundings are beautiful and we thoroughly enjoyed walking around the island. It is easy to walk in all directions from the hotel. Our main disappointment was not being able to eat in the gastronomic restaurant. I’m a vegetarian and asked if a special menu could be offered (when we checked in - we were there for three days). Seemingly this wasn’t possible. I was surprised about this as vegetarian food is now mainstream, even in France! I’ve not come across this as a problem before in similar establishments. I’m hoping that if we go back (and we would certainly like to), it might be possible to dine in the restaurant.…
Stayed overnight on a Monday. Unfortunately hotel restaurant was closed and all nearby restaurants were booked out. In fairness to the hotel they provided a charcuterie/cheese plate to prevent starvation. Lovely staff though, Rooms comfortable though basic. Lacked atmosphere.
We have stayed at Fleur de Sel many times. It is always a fantastic holiday, all the staff are so polite and friendly. The rooms are very comfortable with everything you need. The restaurant is top quality.
A small hotel with a large children’s play are outside. Plenty of car parking spaces, and some electric charging points. Room very comfortable, daily cleaning, tv and kettle. Lovely bathroom with bath and shower
Well I think this hotel has pretty much everything you need for a relaxing break. It’s about 10 minutes walk from the jolly little town of Noirmoutier en Ile and surrounded by fields and marshes. The rooms are comfy and on the ground floor they have well equipped patios where you can read in the shade. The restaurant is really top notch with a nice terrace and the breakfast is generous. The whole place is laid back, the staff friendly, the pool heated to a degree that is not too much of a bath and still refreshing. After three nights here we were very relaxed.
Imacculate and tranquil. The pool wasn't open the day we stayed but the staff were generous in allowing us free access to the spa. Good breakfast and clean rooms. Was the perfect stop off for our last night in France
Third stay for our family. As always lovely and professional staff, excellent t dinner and breakfast. Clean rooms, well maintained pool and gardens. Children’s area well thought out. Faultless. Another great stay..
Superb family run hotel. Ideally sites in a quiet location close to Noirmoutier-en-l’Ile. Very comfortable rooms allied with a top quality restaurant serving fresh local produce. Helpful and friendly staff provide impeccable service. This was our second visit and we look forward to our next visit
I cannot speak highly enough of this lovely hotel and restaurant. We first stayed here in 1990, 8 years after it had opened, and then again in 2003 before our recent 5 nights stay in August 2018. The younger members of the family may have taken over the running of the hotel but it was hugely gratifying to find that the same high standards have been maintained. The rooms are a good size, even the one we had which was described as ‘cosy’. They are tastefully decorated and have everything you would expect of a hotel of this quality. The free wifi is reliable and available in all rooms and public areas. It’s in a great peaceful location, a 5 minute stroll from Noirmoutier centre, with plenty of free on-site car parking, including electrical vehicle charging points. As well as having a lovely heated outdoor pool and patio with plenty of sunbeds, there is a surrounding garden area with numerous chairs and sunbeds and welcome shaded areas. But there’s much more as well these days. I remember from long ago the bikes for hire and the tennis court but there’s also pool, table tennis, outdoor darts, boule and a golf practice area (proper clubs with lighter 30% golf balls to keep the distance down). Breakfast is the usual buffet affair with all you could want. The description of the restaurant as ‘gastronomique’ is no exaggeration. We stayed on a half-board basis which includes room, breakfast and dinner. Each night we were treated to a magnificent dinner. There was a choice of two starters, two main meals and cheese or dessert. We had to begin of course with an aperitif (kir cassis or peche were our favourites) and were presented with a good choice of wines including half bottles. Truly, the food is of award-winning standard. Overall, this is a very classy and friendly place. Our heartfelt thanks for a wonderful stay to all the magnificent team!…
