The UAW center is a time capsule of union and golden age history hidden in a frozen world. Please take a vacation and stay there even if you are not a UAW member. If you are a member you must take time and go there.

This facility has recently been opened to the public union affiliation is not required. If you are lodging there everything is open to you the beach is nice but I am not aware of any boats or other equipment for rent this would best be asked of the staff when making reservations. As I noted in my review cars not assembled by UAW workers are not allowed on to the property so there is a shuttle service to the outlying parking lot.
