Detailed Reviews
My husband and I stayed at the Sandcastle Beach Resort and so thoroughly enjoyed our stay that we kept extending it. Owned and managed by Tom and Stacey, they do an awesome job of ensuring a pleasant stay. Cabins are clean and updated with everything needed for our stay. We stayed at one of the smaller cabins since it was just me and my husband and were fortunate to get cabin #6 which is on the end with a fabulous view of Lake Huron. This is one of the smaller cabins - better for couples. The resort is family-friendly with many activities including shuffleboard, playground area, rafts, volleyball, basketball, fire pits. etc. Our room came with flat screen t.v., cable, small refrigerator, wi-fi, microwave, coffee pot. We will be going back!

motel is right on the beach as well as volleyball, shuffleboard, playground equipment and fire pit. Due to beach erosion, the grandkids couldn't go out as far as usual but that was fine. Beautiful views.

Sitting on the deck and watching Lake Huron never gets old! Our souls were calmed watching children playing, swimming, kayakers, families enjoying, and gulls flying.
We spent three nights at this welcoming, wonderful resort. This would be
perfect for couples, families, seniors, Everyone.
The property was clean and completely prepared for us. Easy entry. Exactly as pictured. A great restaurant in Oscoda is Taits. Great service and food.
We lost our key (returned back to the resort to find the local supermarket called and it was turned in), ready to turn around and retrieve it, but the owner said he would go get it! Unheard of in all our travels ,~~ you just couldn't ask for a more friendly host. So accommodating.
Highly recommend, we can't wait to return!!

Amazingly fun, restful, and entirely delightful experience at Sandcastle Beach Resort. This beautifully designed, simple yet unique set of beach homes are tucked into a super soft sand getaway where Lake Huron is literally 50 feet away. There is a fire pit feet from the shore, a perfect beach volleyball net, sports supplies: frisbees, soccer balls, basketballs and adjustable hoop, swings and slides for the kids, and a nice set of benches and more than enough beach chairs for family and friends. The homes themselves offer all of the important accommodations and will ensure you are well rested and refreshed to enjoy all that this family friendly resort has to offer. If you are looking to enjoy the local outdoors , I also recommend the canoe and kayak rental place nearby, the slow flowing river was gorgeous and only about a 10 minute drive away. Also the owners, the Wdowik family is incredible!! They were very helpful, courteous, and understanding of the large group that I was with. Of all the beach resorts that I have been to, this is definitely the best value. I have been there twice now and will be a planning another trip soon. If you are seeking a truly memorable beach getaway, visit this resort, you will thank yourself throughout the entire experience!

Excellent experience. The atmosphere was family friendly with plenty of room for us to enjoy the beach. Room was exceptionally clean. Stove/oven did not work (it had just been installed) but they gave us a credit and provided us a hot plate. One thing that visitors should know is that the resort only provides one set of towels for the duration of your stay. If you are staying for several nights, plan to bring some or your own or pay a small fee to get fresh ones. One of our favorite activities was building a fire in the fire pit for s'mores and enjoying the beach from the warmth of the fire.

We came for the memorial weekend and were very pleased with the quality, complete accommodations and cleanliness of the cabins. The owners were nearby regularly cleaning the beach. We were very close to the water and the view (especially from cabin 5) was breathtaking. We even forgot something of great value; it was found and arranged to be mailed back out to us. Great and honest owners (and cleaning staff) who really care. Definitely will return and recommend.

Snuck up here for a quiet weekend away. What a hidden gem. The Owners were onsite and making sure that everything was working right and going well. There is a board game library, and if you need anything you can just ask! The cottages are delightful, inviting and clean. All doors and windows open easily, no bugs in the rooms, tidy and quaint. There are all different kinds of rooms, with different amenities for what you need, and EVERY cottage is lake view. The lakefront is clean and inviting with chairs and fire pits (bring your own wood). Great place for a family with small children, wish I had of found it years ago. The only issue - boy was that water cold brrrr!!!

This was our 3rd and best year at Sandcastle Beach Resort in Oscoda. Cottages have always been maintained and clean with amenities you need. This year new onsite owner updated furniture, bedding and plumbing fixtures and cares about her customers. Beach is groomed and cleaner than ever. Great play scape for kids of all ages...kids are busy & happy as you can supervise from cottage deck or patio. Many thanks Stacey!

I couldn't ask for anything more than what we had at the Sandcastle's Beach resort. We stayed in their two-bedroom cottage with pullout couch. It was perfect for our family of four. Sandcastle has an awesome beach, playground for kids, fire pit, volleyball net and shuffleboard. Cottage was clean, had full kitchen and just the perfect size. Would highly recommend.

All 10 of our units can accommodate a total maximum of 58 persons. We won't know 2022 availability until after our returning weekly guests tell us if they are returning for 2022, so we will know better in late October.
We allow our guests with week long stays to reserve the same week for the following year as they are checking out. We then will open reservations for the remaining cottages for weekly stays on November 1. March 15 we open reservations for non-weekly reservations.
Sorry...we don't have anything available as we are full.
We have a 2 night minimum policy. For checking in on Sept. 9, 2017 for 2 nights, we have Suite #7 available. It is a one room suite with 2 queen beds. The price is $100 per night plus taxes. You can call us directly to reserve at 989-739-7977 or go to our website to request a reservation.
