We have vacationed in Oscoda for the past 8 years and have stayed at Captain's Landing for the past 3 years. We have quit looking for places to stay as I just love this place. It is just a minute from the beach, as short walk to town for shopping or the city beach, and is quiet b/c it is in town and not on the busy - noisy highway. The cottages are very comfortable and so cute.

The Captain's Landing is located within easy walking distance of the beautiful Lake Huron beach and the downtown area of Oscoda. The arrangement of the cabins, trees, plantings and fencing create the illusion of seclusion. The cabins are each equipped with gas grills, patios with tables and chairs and there is a communal fire pit which is supplied with firewood. Inside there is a kitchen, living room area, bedrooms and bathroom. They are very comfortable and very affordable. The owners were helpful and couldn't have been nicer. We will return!

This place was great for our large family felt like we were at home was within walking distance to lake to watch those beauitful sunrises

Our entire family rented the cottages the week of August 2nd. I rented the 3 bedroom/2 bath cottage and there was plenty of room, the beds were comfortable and the cottage had everything you could possibly need. I loved that each cottage had it's own deck with patio furniture and grill. The only downside to these cottages is that there is no view of the lake and if you have little kids, it's hard to not worry when they leave your cottage to go to another one because the layout isn't open. You can't see the other cottages from yours and there are a lot of tree's, etc.
