Huron House Bed and Breakfast was just the getaway we needed! My husband and I were not planning on going on a honeymoon immediately after our wedding because we had other financial priorities but once we came across The Huron House online we decided to book. Best decision ever! It was a great destination for our "mini-moon". We're from Michigan so it was a few hour drive, not too far, not too close. Once we arrived at The Huron House we were immediately at peace. The grounds and garden are very beautiful and peaceful. The lake views are breathtaking. We stayed in the Moon shadow room and had panoramic lake views, electric fireplace, private balcony hot tub, kitchenette and everything was very clean. The team at Huron house was extremely accommodating. The food was absolutely amazing! They provide a complimentary snack basket with actually quality snacks. The breakfast was on point, everything tasted amazing and was innovative. Our stay included room service breakfast to our room every morning at our desired time and they even provided vegetarian options for me(veggie meat substitutions) which is huge for me. Greatly appreciative of their accommodations and service. The desserts delivered to our room every night were impeccable! Everyone at The Huron House helped make the memory of our "mini-moon" unforgettable! We recommend 10/10

Exceptional friendly staff. Hot, delicious breakfast served daily during stay. & fresh baked chocolate chip cookies around the clock. Breathtaking views on the lake. The room had an updated look & was spotless. Very quiet location WiFi was unstable (But perfect for unplugging from the outside world) it's a small town so little to no choices for Food delivery service. (Food from the surrounding area was decent ) Bring your own food or snacks otherwise. They should invest in & install an ice maker. We to fill our ice bucket from a beach cooler lol (They kept it clean and stocked though) Fridge in room is big enough for your own personal bag of that's an issue. Housekeeping refreshed room apon request. My Husband & I celebrated our 4th anniversary here. We will return soon! Pictures don't do it justice. I can't say enough good things about this place. This wasn't Just a trip. It was an experience.

We recently spent a long weekend at the Huron House Bed and Breakfast and came away feeling relaxed and rejuventated. As the listing picture shows, the house backs right onto the lake and the outside area was gorgeous - it was just blissful sitting by the firepit, drinking a glass of wine as the sun went down. Equally, it was a beautiful place to eat the absolutely gorgeous breakfast. At the end of each afternoon comes a delicious (and different each day) sweet treat and don't worry if you happen to be out, it's left at your room so you never miss out! The room had everything we needed but special mention should go to the bed, super comfortable and with the softest sheets I think I've ever experienced - certainly way than the ones in our home ;) The area in general is quiet but Tawas is only a 15 minute drive and the Mexican restaurant there was super reasonable with fabulous, authentic food. Drive 10 minutes into Oscoda and you can rent kayaks from Oscoda canoe rental - we had a tandem kayak from there for 4 hours for just $55 (amazing value) and had a wonderful time kayaking down the river. All in all, a lovely stay which we will definitely do again.

The entire trip was wonderful, from checking in to the time we left.
The staff are very friendly and will go out of the way to assist with what you want/need. Wife and I have been on the Keto diet, and they made the menu to our desires. We had clean towels each day, the bed was made and the room tidied and if you wanted to you could leave the towels outside in a bag and they would replace them for us.
We scheduled our breakfast for the time we wanted and breakfast was left outside the door and a slight knock and it was announced so that we knew it was there but there was no need to open the door.
The room was magnificent and clean. It was very roomy and the bedding was so very nice.
We loved our stay and have already booked our next stay with them!!

We decided to take the Heritage Rt 23 along the east side of Michigan and we’re so glad we did. The Huron House is a special property. Our room was remarkably comfortable and beautiful; the Innkeeper David was gracious and helpful; the food which was delivered for breakfast and dessert at night was absolutely delicious! This place is very special for any couple who wants to completely relax. We didn’t venture out for dinner and instead opted to make a salad and order their pizza instead. Another perfect meal. Enjoy!

Me and my husband LOVED staying at Huron House. We felt they went above and beyond to make our stay special from beginning to end. We received 2 desserts each night, and a breakfast delivered to our door each morning. There was 3 choices for breakfast, each one sounded delicious and were homemade. We didn't get to choose our desserts each night, but they were phenomenal, so no complaints there. They were very accommodating to my husband's dairy intolerance. Sometimes dairy-free options aren't great, but Huron House made sure they tasted delicious for him! I loved that Huron House staff kept in contact with us via text message each day to communicate our breakfast choices and any other requests we had. I'm so glad we have a winter anniversary because there was hardly any people around as this is a summer beach town, so we got the privacy we desired. If you're coming at a time when there will be a lot of people around, I suggest the more private rooms in the building closest to the lake. Our room (Huron) and a few other rooms were accessible through the main lobby, so there is less feelings of privacy for that reason. It was still a great room with a large walk-in shower to fit 2, a separate toilet room, a gas fireplace, a large jacuzzi tub, microwave, mini-fridge, sitting area, romantic lighting, etc. It also has a great view of the lake and garden with a wide balcony to capture it all. The bed was sooo comfy and I slept better than I do at home. There are a few extra amenities they give you in your room that I will leave you to be surprised by! 10/10 would recommend the Huron House for a nice anniversary trip.

The Huron house is an amazing place to stay and unwind. Whether you hangout in your very clean and accommodating room all day or outside by the beautiful beach. It has everything you need to relax. The breakfasts are so delicious. Others have said its not enough food, I disagree, I had enough for lunch and I am sorry that I couldn’t eat it all. Desserts are a welcome snack in the evening. Sitting in the outside hot tub in the morning sun or evening moon was so relaxing. I will be back, and I recommend the Huron House to anyone that needs a relaxing couple of days in a spotless, fully accommodating room. I can’t say enough great things about it.

We have stayed at B&Bs from Nova Scotia to Oregon, enjoying many but our #1 has always been Huron House Bed & Breakfast. Dave is an incredible host, friendly, warm & knowledgable. The rooms are spotless & well appointed. The in-room jacuzzi & fireplace, private deck with hot tub (check the website) overlooking a beautiful garden & Lake Huron creates a perfect stay. If that isn't enough....a wonderful hot breakfast is delivered to your room in the morning & as a bonus, a delightful dessert appears in the late afternoon. We love the privacy Huron House provides & hope to make visits there on a yearly basis.

This was our second visit to Huron House having visited about ten years ago. The property has received lots of improvements and attention to amenities for its guests. The Serradella room on the first floor was only about 50 steps from the parking lot and faced Lake Huron. Our large room of over 500 sq ft was very clean and luxurious. While the late afternoon temperatures were beginning to dip into the 60s, we enjoyed sitting outside very close to the lake surrounded by a beautiful fire pit. The Huron House is not an inexpensive B&B but we felt very pampered with delicious breakfasts delivered to our room and homemade desserts in the evening. While the Huron House website indicated a full house with no availability, a spur of the minute call snagged this beautiful room. We look forward to a visit once again in the near future.

We wanted to get away for the night of our 25th wedding anniversary. This was incredible! We have always loved Lake Huron, and this was (by far) the best way to enjoy it! Even though it was November, the lake never disappoints. At the gorgeous Huron House we were definitely able to take advantage of star gazing and reminiscing in the hot tub, snuggling in the comfy bed, being pampered with treats and luxury, and remembering why we decided to marry. We barely missed our kiddos! We enjoyed our lovely room so much we chose to bring dinner in rather than sitting in some (less than cozy) restaurant. It was a wonderful night and we will DEFINITELY be back! HIGHLY recommend.
