4 of us had dinner at the Rose & Crown recently. It was excellent from the starters through to the desserts. My steak was perfectly cooked. The pub has had its ups and downs over the l recent past but it is now well worth a visit

We visited the Rose and Crown Ashbury today for an eagerly anticipated Sunday lunch. This venue was recommended to us by a close work friend of the wife's who had visited recently. We were very warmly welcome by the team at the pub and made to feel at home. It is a lovely venue with a great ambience. After looking...

Excellent choices of ale, alongside a delicious roast meal. The Yorkshire pudding in particular was wonderfully fluffy and the soup was a perfect starter. My only real criticism is that the portion was too enormous for me to finish.

We stayed at the Rose and Crown on a Saturday night celebrating a friend's birthday. Welcoming staff, delicious dinner and comfortable stay. With our table of ten, we had lots of different things from the menu and everyone very satisfied with their choices. Would highly recommend and hope to visit again.

Visited with friends for the first time since new owners, what a treat, courteous staff, good menu choices, we had baked Camembert and garlic mushrooms followed by steak pie which came with the best gravy ever, the lamb shanks were fantastic as were the home made burgers, all piping hot and very nicely presented. Very full for mid week shows...

Super food from a well balanced menu with something for everyone. Perfectly cooked steak and very generous portions. Friendly attentive staff with great attitude made our evening memorable. This would be a regular for us if we didn't have so far to travel. Highly recommended.

I stayed here six months ago and it was a very comfortable pub with good food. It was great to find yesterday evening that the food and accommodation is still excellent, with the addition of a warm and hospitable welcome. I arrived tired after a wearing day, and was made to feel at home by the owners from the minute...

Regularly make the trip from Gloucestershire to visit the Rose & Crown. Great location. All welcome. Pet friendly and most of all the food is amazing! Staff are great. Always welcoming and willing to help. Looking forward to having the time to be able to stop over at some point. Well done team!

We were visiting the area and were looking for a place to stop for lunch. The Rose and Crown is a typical (typical? I wish more were like it) English country pub from the outside and even more so from the inside. The young staff were welcoming, friendly and very jokey. They made us feel at home almost at once....
