We were generally happy at our arrival but was overall disappointed. We booked the king suite with whirlpool. I stepped on broken glass by the tub. After pulling the glass out of my foot, we got down on the floor to discover several shards of glass. I completely understand that accidents can happen but the housekeeping neglected to clean the glass. I am very thankful the glass did not injure my two small children. The gentleman at the front desk was very polite but was told both managers were in a meeting and that I would be contacted shortly. My family had to return home and I have still yet to hear from any manager.
Stayed in a lakeside suite on a weeknight. Everyone at the hotel was friendly. Met COVID safety standards. Nice clean room with a good view. Enjoyed the balcony. Comfy bed and pillows. Lots of seating and lighting. Small kitchenette with mini-fridge and microwave, large counter area. Large bathroom. Only real complaint is that the toilet didn't flush that well (with only tissue in it) and the bathroom door lock didn't really work. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and would definitely stay here again.
This was luxury. Not exaggerating! Due to COVID, I was nervous to travel. But an opportunity to meet up with BFF presented itself. We don't normally cross paths in Michigan. I picked the town on a map--something equidistant for both of us. I picked the hotel on a lark--and with the help of a few reviews. The minute I walked into the hotel I felt relaxed...like home..but CLEANER. And something I did NOT have to clean (Home...is...my responsibility)....I simply relaxed when I saw that it was out of my hands. Time to just enjoy...catching up with a longtime friend, relaxing in the delicious beds, making use of the in-room food-prep options! ! Every employee fantastic, with special shout out to Alicia who checked me in, and chased me down when I left my Military ID and credit card in the lobby...(I was just so excited to see the surroundings). All employees were fantastic. Breakfast works. Housekeeping works. And customer service FLOURISHES here...despite COVID. I am dying to go back there. This is the first review I've ever written about a hotel. I travel a fair amount, but this is the only hotel I've felt strongly about.…
Everyone knows that 1st impressions make all the difference, so thank GOD that you have James Fischer working the front desk. He went out of his way to give us top service and is a true credit to your establishment! We were also pleased by Mark, Jake, Tim, Antonio, Felicia and of course Mary Ann, your assistant manager who also went the extra mile. Housekeeping was also superb with Tracy and Tenesha. And last but not least, Everett and Dave in maintenance were very warm and wonderful! We will certainly be back..Thank you for making our stay so warm and wonderful! Craig and Carla Scheunemann
Last minute stay, very friendly staff, very clean hotel. The Lakefront Restaurant and Bar next door was a pleasant surprise. We had a few drinks and an appetizer, excellent service. The breakfast was limited due to COVID, which was understandable. Will definitely stay here again!
