It is not right downtown in Saugatuck, but that is probably a positive especially in the summer months. Billie and Tony have updated this 1950's classic style motor hotel in great colors and will a sense of modern style and comfort. The bed was very comfortable, as were the pillows. The large tiled shower was a luxurious space. The pool... More

We capped off our week's trip with a two night stay at the Starlite Resort in Saugatuck. While we have been to Saugatuck several times, our prior lodgings had been at a private party rental arranged by a family member. My wife informed me that the Trip Advisor top-rated hotel in Saugatuck was the Starlite, a newly renovated 1950's style... More

The Ship 'N Shore, was an excellent hotel. A very large entrance roon, with a TV, used for breakfast, parties, or just sitting. The view is of the water. The hotel is in the shopping and dining area, of all Saugatuck.

We stayed one night at the Starlite and enjoyed our stay! Very friendly - Billy even took my husband on a "tour" when checking in to show the breakfast room, ice/vending area, etc. Loved that parking is right outside your door (it was pouring rain when we arrived). Updated so the room is comfortable, while retaining a retro feel. Very... More

We were intrigued by the idea of staying in a renovated 1950's motel. We were warmly greeted upon check in and were met outside our room by one of the motel property employees who made sure we were comfortable with our room and explained the amenities offered. After spending the day in the area, we arrived back at our room... More

Nice property. Drive up motel style with updated rooms and stylish bathroom updates. Excellent, beds, new, firm, with quality linens. friendly staff. Continental breakfast, well stocked. Good coffee. Love the retro feel, neat and clean. Pool area looked lovely, but closed for season. Trees and picnic area. Short car ride to town and beach. Loved the color theme. Would definitely... More

We stayed here in October of 2016. Inside what looks like an old roadside motel, is a clean, updated, room with good amenities. Sleep Number beds, refrigerator, microwave, good TV selections, excellent water pressure, plenty of large towels-and quiet! You are just outside of the village. Not a walk, but a bike ride would be easy to downtown. Shuttle bus and... More

We stayed here this past weekend for my husbands birthday. Our room was average size. Seems they did some updating. Was clean, most important. The walls are very thin! All of Saturday night we heard a woman crying and crying. Sounded like 2 people who had too much to drink and he was trying to calm her and she was... More

My boyfriend and I took a weekend your around Michigan for Columbus Day weekend. We spent a lot of money on mediocre hotels. This was our last stop. It doesn't look promising from the outside, but it ended up being the best deal of the weekend. For $89 a night we got a clean, comfortable room with a nice bathroom,... More

We stayed here one night in early October. We were doing some traveling around western Michigan, and honestly I wish we would've just stayed two nights. The price is reasonable and the area was fabulous! I used the online reservation, and it was very easy. We knew what room we would be in which was nice because we parked in... More
