This was my first time choosing to stay at a bed and breakfast over a hotel/motel. After the experience we had at Black River Inn I can't imagine choosing anywhere else to stay when we come to South Haven ever again. Amazingly peaceful location, beautiful homey atmosphere, delicious continual snacks, and breakfast was unbelievably yummy. The innkeepers were very kind,...

Absolutely loved staying here. A bit away from the city, but close to nature, peace and quiet. Really enjoyed Judine and Bob especially when they joined us for their hearty and delicious breakfasts. The Kal-Haven trail and the use of their old fashion one gear bikes was a plus and memory maker. We plan on going back next year.

This was my first time at a B&B, and it was so great! The location is PERFECT - in the country, where it's quiet, but not even 5 minutes away from town! They are literally a hop and a skip away from the Kal Haven Trail, which they let my boyfriend and I borrow bikes to go biking along the...

My husband and I have been doing Michigan autumns for many years. We try to choose a different town along the lake each year. We always stay at B&Bs. This is one of the best. Beautiful location and grounds, away from the busy area of town. Judine and Bob were gracious hosts. Tasty afternoon goodies. Delicious breakfasts. We always enjoy...

First of all, let me say those of you that are contemplating staying at the Black River Inn "Just Do It". From the moment we arrived and Judine greeted us we felt at home. She had snacks and refreshments waiting for us. The place is immaculate and gorgeous! We stayed in the Lake Placid room and it was beautiful, the...

We can't say enough about what a wonderful time we had at Black River Inn. Judine and Bob were fantastic hosts that made us feel so comfortable and welcome. We had huge delicious breakfasts each morning. Our room (and the entire house) was beautifully decorated and spotless. The location is wonderful. If you like to cycle, it is an easy...

My wife and I stayed one night in the St. Moritz Suite. The room and accommodations were just perfect. The room was beautiful, the house was immaculate, it was so quiet. The surroundings were beautiful. Breakfast was fabulous as were the hosts Judine and Bob who joined us for conversation. We truly enoyed their company. We will definitely be going...

My wife and I stayed here for two nights over the Memorial Day long weekend and we had a truly exceptional experience. When we arrived were greeted by Judine (the innkeeper) who was preparing for the next morning's breakfast in their gorgeous kitchen. When we walked in we were offered an array of snacks (both sweet and savory) which we...

We had a relaxing and fun-filled anniversary get-away. Our room (Chamonix) was even more lovely than the pictures online. Very comfortable bed; bathroom was good-sized with a bench area for plenty of room. Window AC unit so you can stay cool even if the hosts turn off the house AC. Other rooms are well-furnished for guest use as sitting or...

My husband and I had a wonderful weekend away. This is near town but far enough out that has a quiet surrounding. The couple that owns it could not make feel any more at home. The food is so much more than we expected.
