This review is for the cabins/cottages. My husband and I stayed in one of the cottages at Timber Ridge for two evenings. We selected Timber Ridge based on their pet-friendly policy and trying to save money rather than staying at a hotel. The positives: The cottage was newer and we had good spacing. Cottages sleep 5 people and have their...

Ashley, I am sorry that we failed to make your stay enjoyable. First, I appreciate your listing the pros before the cons, that was generous. It seems as if we failed you on a number of levels, including the heat. We are in the process of updating our units to have wall unit heaters, and it is quite clear that...

We stayed here for a week in Aug. Clean and friendly staff. Pool and activities during the day for the kids. Bike trails on grounds. Located about 3 miles outside of Traverse City. Far enough away for some quiet time but close enough to town to not feel you have to drive far to get there. Lots of trees and...

We camped here with our 8 and 5 year old boys! They were in heaven! They played dodge ball nightly and loved the BMX park! This is a very family friendly campground! Pluses were the weekend happy hour!! We loved that they use essential oils to keep bugs away instead of chemicals and we NEVER had a bug issue the...

Thank you for your review! We will be installing speed bumps on our beautiful newly paved road by next season for exactly the reasons you mentioned. I apologize about the movies skipping, we try to be certain we are there periodically to check on the quality and sound; it sounds like we missed it on those nights. We will work...

Just got back from family weekend camping. Nice campground with tons of sites. Staff is friendly and there are things going on throughout the day. Kids won't be bored. Good to know is that a shower will cost you .50 cents to start for about 5 1/2 mins - so hurry. They have a nice general store, golf cart and...

This is a very family-friendly campground with an awesome camping vibe! It is a very large private campground. The amenities for kids are great: heated pool, organized nightly dodge-ball and volleyball games, big playground, dirt bike trails, snack shack and ice cream bar. It didn't get dark until 10:00 at night and when it did...the campfires were crackling, most campers...

Stayed in a park model cabin. Cabin was clean, roomy and very comfortable. You have to bring your own bedding and towels, but otherwise, cabin was stocked with everything you need. Our cabin had 2 bedrooms and a kitchen/living room combo. Large TV with cable. Had a toaster oven with 2 burners for cooking and a microwave. All the luxuries...

First site we were given did meet our requirements. There were accommodating and moved us to another site. Entire camp site was covered with cigarette butts, metal bottle caps and old water balloons which all had to be picked up before the children could play. They advertised both cable TV and internet, neither of those were working the weekend of...

I am very sorry to hear of your disappointment with your recent stay at Timber Ridge. I don't recall hearing of these issues during the time frame of your stay - all I can say is that if you had expressed your experience with the Front Desk staff surely we would have taken steps to make everything right for you....

I thought this was a very nice campground. We enjoyed our stay. Plenty of things for the grandkids to do. Swimming, biking, hiking, basketball, playground and they loved the organized dodge ball. Wish would could of stayed longer. Campground was clean, bathrooms were so, so. There were some in the bathhouse that were out of order and on need of...

“This is a campground, not a hotel. I suggest looking at the camp ground map and trying to get a corner site, as anything else is very tightly packed with little space.”

“You can't reserve specific sites so you are at their mercy. But we have talked to local folks who get to park their RV on the same site for the season but only pay for the nights they are there. Go figure.”

“We did not stay in a cabin, however there are cabins and park models scattered all over the campground - if you are traveling with someone who has a trailer and you don't, ask for sites near each other.”
