Stayed here recently while I was visiting my freshman daughter at UM. I would like to stay here more often during fall football season but prices get too high. Service was great, friendly staff, large room and gave me access to either sunday breakfast or...More
Lots of nice folks on the property work hard to make your event and stay a good one. Special shout out to Cortney in the lobby lounge. She had to juggle a large group nightly and did so with a smile and grace.
A very disappointing Marriott experience. On 2 of the 3 mornings I was there, my day started with a luke warm shower. The food was average at best and on one night, I could hear the person in the room next door, snoring!!!More

I agree with the responder above. If you are flushed with cash, it is certainly better than the other floors. However, the entire hotel is well designed, and the concierge level simply adds a concierge room with lounging chairs, free newspapers, coffee, excellent hot breakfast. Calculate what breakfast for two downstairs would cost (probably $20-$30, and ask yourself if you are willing to pay $70 instead for the concierge level.
Traffic during student move in weekend. Also homecoming and sports events. Another high traffic time is during the Ann Arbor Art Fair. The first or second weekend in August. These are the traffic issues I was refering to.
