We come to BH to camp every Halloween weekend and do the Duluth haunted/Halloween stuff, and then do the hayride and haunted house here. The camping here is great. The shower/bathroom building is bright and clean. There are closer porta potties throughout the grounds as well. I love that the bar/restaurant has such great food and service, it's close (no...

We decided to go up to Duluth to see the colors and found this place via the Internet. We called and were able to get a spot for our class A motor coach. Darrel was the gentleman that checked us in and he was SO friendly. Very helpful and he let us choose the spot we wanted. We were in...

We stayed here for two nights and were very impressed with the friendly and helpful staff. My husband appreciated the pull through site and the escort to the site in the dark. Very clean campground. We enjoyed two meals at the Buffalo House - on site restaurant. Very good food. Proximity to Duluth is good and we spent most of...

We came here during the busy tall ship festival weekend. Loved it here. Very good communication. Even though they were full they went out of their way to accommodate us. They offered us a dry camping spot and went out of their way leading up to our weekend to make sure we understood it was dry camping. Darryl was very...

Just a perfect place to spend some time. A clean well maintained campground, two loops in various parts of the park. A restaurant that's popular with the local people and so convenient for those camping. A large menu filled with anything you may want, all delicious. A nice horseshoe area, a couple ball parks and facilities available for weddings and...

We stayed here 3 nights. I reserved and paid online through the website. This worked out well. We were told at check in that we were there the same time as a dog show. We kind of expected to hear the dogs barking through the night, but they were no problem at all. The campground is very clean and well...

Campground on the same grounds as the Buffalo House Restaurant, bar and grill. Also has many ball fields. Clean and well cared for grounds. Our site had water/electric. $41/ night. There was a nice, clean shower house on site. We felt safe and comfortable for the one night we stayed as we were passing through town. We didn't eat at...

Memorial weekend = all state parks are booked solid. Wanted to visit Gooseberry Falls so was heading up north to see if any private camps had any availability. Came upon this place, said they still had 5 spots avail. Drove around and its a tiny cozy place. Everyone was a bit bunched up together. We got the best place in...

We wanted to try a different campground this year for our trip to the Duluth area. We chose this one because it had decent-looking sites, showers, and a restaurant on site. When we booked, we specifically asked for full electric hook-up; however, when we arrived, they had put us in a site without it, so they had to switch us...
