Cabins are very cute and clean. We stayed in a duplex which was a little small, but perfect for our weekend needs. They are across a two lane highway from Lake Superior but they are set back about a hundred yards and the road isn't very busy so its not a big deal . No beach access within walking distance...

These are old, old cottages, dank and not very updated. We went ahead and stayed here because we like the cottage experience and it was close to Duluth. We wanted to spend the day in Duluth and the next day go up the North Shore Scenic Drive. Although there was no one manning the office, and we had to call,...

The Only reason I am not giving them 5 stars is because the dvd player does not work and the tv channels go in and out. Otherwise I love this place. It is like going to your grandmas cabin for a getawy! Beautiful view of the lake, quiet, and very peaceful. will be back!!!!

Very easy to find and a beautiful view of the lake. It is a very easy drive to downtown and very close to nearly anything. These are old-fashioned quaint cabins - our cabin had a brook running by the bedroom window, which was extra relaxing. The kitchen is well-stocked with plates, utensils, pans, etc, so you can bring your groceries...

These cabins are nice little places to stay if you want to stay just outside of Duluth but still be close enough for a short drive into town for dinner/etc. Being right off of (old) 61 makes it a convenient spot to take off north for a day hike. The cabins are clean and well maintained. They provide firewood for...

We called ahead. The woman owner was nice on the phone, but when we got there, she wasn't around and the guy was there. I think his name was Mark. He was sarcastic and unfriendly. My kids both commented that he was rude and surly. Also, it was a hot night and the cabins have no a.c. And the wi-fi...

We were very happy with our stay at North Shore Cottages. The price was right, the cabins were clean, nice view from our deck. It could use some updates and maintenance work on the cabins and grounds, but we were comfortable there, except for the extra hard bed. It was close enough to Duluth to make grocery shopping and sightseeing...

The Cottages are well maintained vintage cabins. Our bed was comfortable, sheets good quality, bathroom spotless. Many original fixtures are still in use which gives it a "walking back in time" quality. The location is close to Duluth and good value when compared to overpriced rooms in town. We stayed at North Shore Cottages on a foggy December night, which...

My husband and I have been staying at North Shore Cottages since we first started dating. They are affordable, comfy and have a wonderful view of the lake. We loved them so much that we actually got married across from the cabins on the shore of Lake Superior, and had our humble little after the wedding get together in one...

Stayed here for a night recently and loved it! Had a one bedroom cottage with a view to Lake Superior. Was impressed at how clean everything was (the sheets and towels felt clean and didn't have that gross worn in and overused smell some hotels have). The kitchen was small but functional and came stocked with pots and pans for...
