Thoroughly enjoyed a week with our family in cabin #3. Like other reviews, we can't complement the staff enough for their exceptional service. Cabin #3 is privately tucked in the woods so you can barely see other cabins. Deck provides really nice lake views and extra space. Our kids (ages 11 - 14) spent a lot of time on the...

Dear Colleen F, We often hear that a vacation is measured by how long it takes the kids to ask to go back; by that measure it sounds like it was a success. I am very happy to hear your family was able to enjoy themselves. We made the decision this year to make the kayaks, canoes, and paddle-boards free...

Such a great place to relax and connect with family- they staff took care of all the little extras so we could just focus on fun together! Fishing, swimming, camp fires, canoe and paddle boards- and the kids loved the floating 'island'. Comfy and clean.

I have been a chronic visitor to Timber Wolf Lodge over the past several years. There is really no place quite like it. The location is superb - sitting just off the east edge of the pristine Bear Island Lake and west of the Bear Island Reservoir (which is perfect for kayaking). The resort offers all the amenities you could...

My week long stay at Timberwolf lodge was amazing! They have a great beach to enjoy the sunset on every evening. It's a perfect location for water sport, fishing, kayaking, the SUP's were great. It's close to Ely which was nice for trying out some restraunts and checking out the bear center. The beds were comfortable and I loved having...

Our second visit to TWL was another near perfect stay. The last week in September when things get quiet and the scenery is amped up in color you couldn't pick a better place. Cabin 4 was our choice and the friendly chipmunk others mentioned made his appearance for us as well. We even had an eagle land on our deck,...

My husband and I stayed at Timber Wolf Lodge, in cabin 4 for a week! It was AMAZING! We both work a bunch, so it was really nice to get away, unplug and relax. Beautiful scenery and hiking during the day, cozy nights in the cabin, with a wood burning stove. I personally liked the fact that there wasn't a...

So great to unplug and enjoy the serenity. This time we were only able to make it for a few days, but look forward to a week-long trip in the future. We took a canoe out and enjoyed the lake, read, talked over a bonfire, and cooked out. The perfect escape from the cities.
