The front lobby is very up north feeling and welcoming. The staff was very friendly. When we arrived in our room it was very chilly. We turned up the heat, but our room was chilly all evening. We found a bun on the floor in our room from previous people and our shower did not drain well.

I stayed here one night and was not impressed. My room overlooked the employee smoking area behind the hotel so I couldn't open a window, the fridge didn't work and I found out the next morning that it was unplugged....for how long nobody knows. The thermostat didn't work and the shower went from ice cold to boiling hot in about...

Classic up nort hotel feels like your in a lodge. Rooms need some upgrading but are clean and comfy. Business rate during the week only $59.00. Use this as your base and explore the area. Big pool area with pool side rooms. Enjoy

I stayed at the Sawmill Inn for business. Despite other reviews I had read, I found my room very clean and comfortable. The rooms do need updating, but it is very reasonably priced for the accommodations. It has a bar, restaurant and pool, which I wouldn't normally expect for that price. But the best thing I liked about the hotel...

This hotel needs updated rooms, but our rooms were clean. I have already loved the restaurant for many years. Staff was super friendly, and very accommodating. If the rooms were updated, it would be very nice.

Wonderful family owned hotel. I read the complainers reviews before booking. This isn't brand new. It's a 30 year old previous Holiday Inn. They are in the midst of making upgrades. Our room had a flat screen tv and was just fine. Plus the bonus of a nice large pool for my kids. Staff were awesome. Nice coupon tucked into...

This place was so gross we couldn't even get comfortable after we exchanged rooms. Wallpaper falling down, old bedspreads, dirty tub and sink, we booked 2 nights and left after the first night, first thing in am. It really needs an updated look and feel, but for 80 a night, oh, hell no! I know the owner is a veteran...

It is a older Hotel but still it is kept very clean and affordable. The only real complaint is that all the tables by the pool were moved to the other rooms that were having parties for kids. We could not even sit out by the pool.

My family visited Grand Rapids for a fishing tournament my husband was fishing in. There are several hotels in the area, my girls are 10 and 11 so we wanted a pool, on-site food and cleans rooms for a good price. We found it at the Sawmill Inn! Pool-the girls liked that it was 9ft deep at the deep end...

I stayed at the Inn for 7 nights. The staff is friendly, the restaurant was excellent, and the room was clean. Look, we all know that a value priced property is going to be either dated or tiny. The sawmill inn is no spring chicken but its clean and safe feeling. The suprise to me was the restuarant is considered...
