It is a older Hotel but still it is kept very clean and affordable. The only real complaint is that all the tables by the pool were moved to the other rooms that were having parties for kids. We could not even sit out by the pool.

My family visited Grand Rapids for a fishing tournament my husband was fishing in. There are several hotels in the area, my girls are 10 and 11 so we wanted a pool, on-site food and cleans rooms for a good price. We found it at the Sawmill Inn! Pool-the girls liked that it was 9ft deep at the deep end...

I stayed at the Inn for 7 nights. The staff is friendly, the restaurant was excellent, and the room was clean. Look, we all know that a value priced property is going to be either dated or tiny. The sawmill inn is no spring chicken but its clean and safe feeling. The suprise to me was the restuarant is considered...

Spent one night at this location which was one more than I ever choose to again. The rooms needed renovations 20 years ago. The AC in the room was extremely noisy. The room carpet could have been confused for velcro. The food at the hotel restaurant was chalky and tasteless (prime rib) although our waitress was pleasant and attentive. The...

The Sawmill has a beautiful lobby and a great retro pool area. The sad part is the rooms were dirty and run down. Cobwebs and mildew, no screens on our room window, the door lock was broken and the surge protector blew if you used the microwave and the TV at the same time. The price was low, but in...

I've stayed here with my small children 4 or 5 times over the years. I rated it "average" based on comparable hotels. It's been a while since I stayed in a Motel 6, but from what I remember of them, you can get the gist of what the hotel rooms at Sawmill are like. If I were basing my rating...

We arrived in Grand Rapids late in the evening without a reservation. Several other hotels were sold out, the Sawmill had a few rooms left. We got a poolside room on the second floor. It had a slightly musty and cigarette smoke smell, which bothered my children, but we had little choice at this point. I don't know when they...

Decent place for the price. The restaurant service is a little slow if you have a large group. The pool was a good size and okay hit tub. The area around the poll was very nice with extra tables for larger families/groups. Nice lounge. Rooms were clean and bathrooms a good size compared to other places I've stayed. We were...

We really enjoyed that they had poolside rooms, however, the rooms themselves were severely dated, smelled bad and our shower was gross. The sauna was out of service. The restaurant and bar were very nice.

"Deluxe Dive" It starts as you pull into the parking lot that has not been properly plowed. There was several inches of rutted bumpy and simply treacherous. At check in the room the keys are just that keys. Keys that were made at Ace hardware. I hope the last person staying in my room didn't go make a set for...
