This hotel is well taken care of with great customer service and excellent food choices. It is located in the mainland , not in Penang island. Everything was beautiful during my stay, I gave it a four star because the hotel loses one star due to the reservation and billing department. My stay was pre-paid, and the hotel charged me again with my card without my knowledge after I left. I only realize this after I returned to USA. I reached out to the hotel, disputing the charges and the email that I received back is so unprofessional with no resolution or no information to solve the issue. Cannot give a five star when your card is charged an authorized.
The staff are always at hand to help which is the main reason I returned again with my wife ! Specially the executive chef for ensure we had all we needed at breakfast and Yousuf taking care of our needs during our stay and I would like to mention Fayzur and shanto for doing that little extra!
The room was comfy, but the bathroom was flooding on one side after shower. The breakfast was okay. I just need to charge my phone beside my bed sometimes and there's no port beside the bed. The service was excellent, all the staffs were very helpful. I can consider to return to this hotel on my next vacation.
I'm stayed 2 nights at this hotel with my business partner. Our room was at floor 4 that i think was smoking floor because there was a very bad smell of cigarette in the room and even in the corridor. It was better that the reservation asked us if we prefer to stay at smoking room or not, especially when i was travel with my partner we prefer nonsmoking room I ask for changing the room 3 times and also meet one of manager requested for change room next day I came reception ask for change room guy say I need to inform earlier it is one of my complains against this hotel. When I spoke with reception guy that time one of foreign manager notice and immediately approach to me and strictly ask me about my changing room I really impressed about him because after 10 minute change my room on floor 9 , Hotel itself is new, rooms and furniture are also new. Hotel was clean but the bath room and toilet was not s much clean. the glass that we should put our tooth brush inside was not clean at all. Also there was tooth brush, Toothpaste, sanitary pqpad,... in the bath room . Mini bar was also complimentary as all other hotels but they gave you two bottles of water as free every day. breakfast was good and contains every thing you need. the most advantage of this hotel was their staff. I'm talking about Assistant Manager Mr Yousuf who make our stay comfortable and room change arrange transport I really admire about him we just observe door area some time and some time reception and restarent you can see him every area really thanks Mr Yousuf wonderful and help so kind and help us in all kind.The breakfast lady was so polite. location of hotel was good, so much close to center and shopping mall walking distance , but exactly in front of hotel there was a lots of restaurants. I recommend to go to floor 3, delicious food Once again thanks to Mr Yousuf for recommendations us floor 3 bar we never forgot you young man. in case of returning to Malaysia i will chose light hotel more close to attractions and also more modern and new. But this time i went for business. Best staff service.…
Recent stay found me leaving with 3 less shirts that Light Hotel Laundry destroyed in laundering. The worst part was they broke their word to reimburse me of which I was only asking for reimbursement on one of three shirts. Upon check out they asked be to settle for 20 % of the cost of the new replacement shirt which I had already acquired. Such a disappointment that the Light Hotel finds that a lousy $100 USD aid worth more than all the bad posts, and reviews to follow. Hope that Karma finds its place with their establishment! Paul
Nice, clean rooms, good spread of buffet food, helpful staff but housekeeping staff not helpful. Refused request for extra towel & blanket, the first time a 5 star hotel has refused suwas ch a request!
Attended wedding dinner of Dr Rajiv with family at ballroom . Food was great including vege options .Staff very experienced and very good arrangements . Sound system good . Beautiful hotel and ballroom .
Very nice hotel, good food. All positives in general and very nice stay but unfortunatelly one staff member behave like the hooker, no respect that my husband got wife and 3 kids still try to hit on him even when he not interested, very pushy. And it was Malay lady Mardziah (Marr). Beware if you come with husband of boyfriend. Can provide the photo if you want to know who to avoid.
Stayed here for 3 nights during Hari Raya holidays in May 2022. Pluses : The Hotel is nicely located with ample free parking. It is a 5 star well maintained, well sanitised, neat and clean property. Ours was a superior room, very clean and equipped with all the necessary amenities.Bed was quite comfortable with crispy white linen. Bathroom too was pleasant. Good housekeeping staff.( Forgot to take the room photo.🙁) Minuses : Front office staff especially younger ones need to be trained to address the guest with courtesy. Once I called the front office to get something but was bruskly turned down by a female official without any polite explanation!! Breakfast was an average affair. The attitude of the cooking staff at Dosai, omlette counter was lackadaisical. They were passing the cold, precooked food to the guests. May be they were not in good mood on that day.😀 Overall, a good experience..…
Front desk staff was friendly. Hotel room has the basic necessities. Room was clean and breakfast in the hotel is normal what you would expect. Only one shopping mall not far away from the hotel. Small rows of shophouses and various religious worship places not far from the hotel .
