My main reason for choosing Blanket Hotel is because free parking is available next to the hotel.
During my last trip, I saw that a parking kiosk had been erected.
Hope the free parking facility can remain...

Room is small and basic, with a smoky smell. The design of the washbasin faucet is flawed with a sharp edge.
Breakfast is not provided, so I headed to nearby Chai Leng Park for local kopitiam fare. Nice location with a CAT bus stop a stone's throw away.
Good place for solo business travelers, but not for family stay.

A new hotel located in Seberang Jaya, near the Sunway Carnival Mall. It is at the end of Jalan Todak 6, facing Lebuh Tenggiri 2 with lots of shops nearby. Booked a queen deluxe and the room was fine; clean with en-suite bathroom, coffee/tea making facilities, wifi and tv with limited satellite channels. The walls are paper thin so I can hear everything from the corridor.

The problem with this hotel is its poor service and management. When I booked online, it said there was free parking. When I got to the hotel, the receptionist didn't mention anything about parking so I parked on the street (there are no signboards explaining parking payment). Later in the evening I got a parking fine from the local govt because I didn't display the parking coupon! When I complained to the reception, the guy (Mathan) just gave me the coupon and didn't apologize or explain that I needed to collect the parking coupon from him. So my room just got RM30 more expensive. Secondly, I was made to pay RM2 for tourism fee to the Penang State Govt for which the hotel does not issue a receipt. (The money is nothing but they should be professional enough to give me a receipt). Another issue is about potential security breach. The lift wasn't working so they used the staircase from the ground floor which was opened to the public - meaning, anyone can walk up to the rooms!

The hotel is a very basic,no frill hotel, I have to point out that they don't provide any kind of towel. The bed is single bed, not super single / twin size, so in simple words, their bed is small.

The TV is small as well, hardly to enjoy tv session if you lie on the bed, contain few basic channel.

Room is small even for Malaysian Standard, room cleanliness is at basic.

The only pro, is their location is at superb convenient. Everything is just at walking distance, including a mall.

The room wall is absolutely thin, you can hear most of your next room guest conversation in your own room.

Toilet size ok, water pressure good, but too bad no curtain. So you wet whole toilet after shower !

I wont recommend this hotel for leisure or family , however is good enough for solo traveller or on business occasion.

+1point : They have lift access.& Ample car park space

I came by train avoid the taxi at the stations they wanted 25 RM for a journey that Uber did for 5 RM

About 15 mins ride from train and ferry station with no traffic. Traffic can triple the travel time.

Nice no nonsense hotel clean with free bathroom amenities.

One complaint is sound proofing is not good. Everytime the neighbours opened their doors I thought my door was opening. And can hear all the plumbing noise. Apart from that can recommend staying.

The Blanket Hotel is a new hotel making its debut in Seberang Jaya Penang area which has attracted a number of mix hotels. It now has The Light Hotel a 5 Star and Sunway a 4 Star. Finding a good reasonable hotel with a good price below these two categories is not an easy task.

The coming of The Blanket Hotel has enabled to fill the gap. It reminds us of Ibis hotel with minimalist and practicality concept. The Blanket is rightly located at the centre of Seberang Jaya city centre with easy access from the PLUS highway. It is in a two storey high building with an elevator. It is brand new and very clean, simple and modern and fit very well to those looking for a practical hotel with best price.

The King Double and Queen Double would be the best as they have windows, bath tub, ironing board and coffee/tea making facilities. In Japan and Paris this hotel is priceless and will cost a fortune. The bath room is sizeable with rain shower and basic toileteries. They also provide free coupons for free parking.

As a new hotel the receptionists are still learning how to access and check reservations from Booking.com. Nonetheless to be the best in this category which they can achieve they would need to make minor improvements as follows:
1. Provide proper room lighting as the lights are considered sleeping lights and the room too gloom and dark;
2. Provide shower curtain to prevent shower water from splashing to the bathroom floors;
3. Fix the TV channels reception which can be easily done;
4. Proper cleaning
We hope overtime it will make a great improvement based on customer' reviews and feedback as it has a great potential to become one.

Clean. Price that is affordable to me as a retiree. Surprise me to find lift in a 3 storey hotel. Cctv and internet give feel of security and convenience. Staff friendly and helpful. Many restaurants within walking distance of 5 to 10 minutes. Malay food, mamak good, Chinese, western food, Japanese food are there to visitors to choose. Grab car easily available.
