We have stayed at this place before and been generally pleased. This time it was to be my daughter her husband, 2 kids and us. The buffalo bill suite seemed the perfect fit for all of us. I volunteered to sleep in the loft, but like lots of folks my age have to get up in the nite. Very treacherous... More

We stayed here while on a small family get together. The Inn is in a restored feed mill and ice house, the owners and staff are very proud of the history of the place- there is a lot of information. We stayed in the family suite, it is a little rustic, with the original brick walls and open pipes, but... More

We are not comfortable with the lack of privacy at B&Bs so we thought this might be an option. So nice! Loved the historic aspect, the room was clean and spacious. The breakfast was delicious - not at all the usual hotel stuff.

Enroute to Galena (from the Twin Cities) stayed overnight at the Stone Mill to see the play at the Commenwealth Theatre. Stayed there before and it still lived up to our expectations (both Hotel and Theatre.). Great area and wonderful trip to celebrate our reunion!

This is our favorite place to stay in Lanesboro. We have been here several times and after trying many of the others, we always stay here now. Quiet, clean, nicely decorated and great staff. What more could you want?

The Stone Mill is a unique lodge in a former feed mill and ice house. Every room is different, and all are charming! We were surprised that it had been open for several years, because everything seemed to be in like-new condition. The breakfast was wonderful - "The Breakfast Dude" went out and got the pastries from the local bakery,... More

Coming from a hotel management background, I always feel like I go into properties with too high of expectations and I am let down. Both my husband and I loved our stay at Stone Mill! The location is perfect! The customer service was unbeatable...Therese at the front desk was very informative and helpful, both at check-in and throughout our stay.... More

We stayed here overnight while visiting Lanesboro to see a play at the Commonweal Theater. While the price hovered at the upper limit of our personal budget (we are thrifty folks) it was a really special property and offered the essential feature of accommodating our family of 4, allowing the teen girls to sleep separately. The building is an old... More
