The Scanlan House is located in a beautiful area of southeast Minnesota. The house & host are wonderful BUT the breakfasts - oh my - the breakfasts to die for. 3 courses of mouth watering goodness. If you enjoy breakfast you have to stay here.

I hate to write anything negative about any place we have stayed but I want other readers to know about the room we stayed in. First the positive. The hosts are great people, very friendly and go out of their way to make sure you have a good time. And the Breakfast is Amazing!! Our only complaint was our room....

We enjoyed our one night stay at the Scanlon House very much. Our expectation of an interesting and clean room was most certainly met in the Sunrise room which is upstairs and faces south. Nice and bright. Kristen was laid back, friendly, and accommodating. The other guests you dine with at breakfast are never a sure thing but we lucked...

We had very nice stay at The Scalan House in Lanesboro. We were in the "Safari Suite" which was very large with a separate sitting area, a very comfy queen sized bed, a whirlpool tub and its own Private Entrance with parking. Kirsten is a great host who has thought of everything to make your stay comfortable and easy. The...

While the beds were comfortable and the breakfast lovely, the amenities were a little off-putting. You are greeted at the front door with an old air conditioner temporarily stored topped with an easel welcoming you to the inn. To your right is a leaflet rack with water damaged brochures. That sets the tone for the remainder of the inn. A...

Stayed this last weekend at the Scanlon House. The grounds are beautiful, and the hosts are friendly. However, the room was waaay over decorated; it was almost claustrophobic. We were very disappointed with the breakfast on Sunday morning. In fact, no one at our table finished. Lanesboro, however, is definitely worth visiting. We had a wonderful 2 day bike ride;...

We decided to check out Lanesboro. I had never heard of the place until an acquaintance tipped me off that it's the B&B capital of Minnesota. I asked around and sure enough - many people told me they knew about Lanesboro, the Root River and all of the paved bike trails. We stayed at the Scanlan House. Very nice. The...

This is our 4th year of an August weekend of two nights in Lanesboro, a different B&B each year. So far, we've never gone wrong yet - there are so many great offerings, and Scanlan is another excellent entry. Scanlan House's strength is far and away the breakfast - plan to not eat lunch. It is really on the edge...

We loved our recent stay at the The Scanlon. Lanesboro has many great B&Bs and small Inns but we really like The Scanlon. The rooms are very well appointed with a 2 person jacuzzi, plush beds and nice amenities. The grounds are spectacular with beautiful gardens and lots of little hideaways to sit in sun or shade. The multi-course breakfast...
