Didn't stay there but had a lovely lunch in a rustic setting in full view of the water, with good food service on a table with a tablecloth. The property had canoes, kids getting flyfishing instruction, picnic tables, an indoor pool and a game room, complimentary coffee, and an outdoor porch with rocking chairs.

We stayed in a condo. Reservation confirmation say lakeview, if you could see through the trees you could see the lake. Room was not cleaned the 2nd day so we had no coffee on the day we left. ...............................................................................................................

I was there for a wedding and stayed at the main lodge. The first thing that I noticed was there was no mini refrigerator, for the price of the rooms there should be a refrigerator. Second I noticed the tiny tv VCR/DVD player. I tried to sit on the edge of the bed trying to figure out what the hell... More

A frequent repeat fall destination while on Minnesota's north shore of Lake Superior. Great for relaxation and solitude. Cozy comfort condo with full kitchen facilities. The units are literally just steps from the lakeshore. 3 miles from Lutsen Lodge built in 1885, and its dining room. The food is delicious, innovative, and in the Scandinavian tradition. Try the Norwegian eggs... More

We were on a waiting list and lucked out that someone cancelled at the last minute and we got a room in the Poplar River condos part of the resort. Our room was small and a little crowded but that was fine we spent most of our time outside. There are hiking trails that run along the river, a wonderful... More

What a beautiful area and resort. The cable car ride to the far high ridge was breathtaking. The food was good and the employees are all very polite and helpful. But do not look at the online restaurant guide for Papa Charlies. It is woefully outdated and many of the items listed are not on the menu. And there is... More

Beautiful location. Shoreline was spectacular. Loved the old lodge. Rooms were small but clean. However very noisy. Wanted windows open for cool weather and fresh air but so much kitchen noise! Also our bathroom vibrated from whatever machine was going under it. Hallway sounds very clear. Borrowed a puzzle one evening and put together. Nice bar. Nice restaurant.

I just spent a relaxing week at Superior Ridge. The large room had two very comfortable queen beds, refrigerator, microwave and a beautiful view of Lake Superior. If you are looking for quite relaxing economical accommodations on the North Shore this is the place!!!!

We stayed 3 nights Sept 27-29th. Had the 3rd Fl room; it was fine except no air con (and we did not see the window fan hidden on closet shelf) we roasted at night even with the window open. Always pays to complain at front desk. If you like older historic lodges (1952) this will fill the bill for you!... More

Located right on the beach, great food, lots of friendly and helpful people. Beach fires, weddings, and music made for a wonderful first trip to Lake Superior. Located close to hiking and biking trails, shopping, and North Shore experiences.
