Traveled here with family of 5- ages 51, 49, 21, 17, 15 and the dog to spend three nights over the Thanksgiving weekend. Beautiful mountain view from deck, overlooking closed pool area. Sleeping accommodations were a little tight in 135B-one bunk bed, a queen in the upstairs open loft and an uncomfortable pull out couch in living room area. Next...

I wasn't sure what to think of Caribou Highlands after seeing such mixed reviews, but we had a great time. My girlfriend and I stayed at the poplar ridge studio for MEA weekend. The whole resort was packed, in fact it may have been completely sold out. You should know that poplar ridge townhomes consist of one large unit that...

The best parts: the incredible nature, beautiful setting, the friendly staff, the good location, and it's very family-friendly. We loved playing catch out on the lawn. The MEA activities were wonderfully coordinated. The cons: no coffee in lobby (why???), and we would definitely choose another room the next time we come. Our Poplar River "ridge view" room actually was a...

Came up for MEA break with our teenage boys. Hotel was nice, staff was wonderful. Rooms were nice only problem I had was the shade over the window sits so far out that alot of light comes in all the time. They had games and dvds to borrow which was really nice. This is definitely a family friendly resort. We...

Very reasonable prices, very friendly and helpful staff. Looks like some major renovations/upgrades in progress. Can't wait to see when it's all done. 👍 Lodge has restaurant and bar on lower level, have to try Lumjack Mac on the menu. Kudos to thier chef!

My finance and I stayed at Caribou Highlands for 3 nights 10/6/16 - 10/9/16 (after getting engaged on our way up from the cities). We come to the North Shore every year and typically stay with Lutsen Resort in their Poplar River Condos. Due to Lutsen Resorts increasing prices we decided to try another option. We decided on Caribou Highlands...

We stayed for five days at Caribou Highlands Lodge. My wife and I stayed in a condo and brought our dog. Overall, we had an excellent time here! The condo we stayed was very clean, with newer finishes and appliances. The condo has a small kitchenette, with an electric stove/range, small dishwasher, coffee maker, dishes, and some pots and pans,...
