Location is wonderful - great view of Lake Superior; access to Cascade trails is only few strides away; close driving to Grand Marais, Tofte, Lutsen, and numerous trails; very reasonable and good restaurant and bar across the parking lot; and the people that work there are as friendly and helpful as can be.

Thanks for your excellent review of our resort. We appreciate you mentioning the trails. We like to use the phrase "All trails lead to Cascade Lodge" because we are surrounded by Cascade River State Park. It's really awesome! Thanks again, Michael O'Phelan, Owner

Staff and owners are always helpful and friendly! Living quarters and common areas are cozy "lake cabin-y" that make it easy to extract yourself from your daily life. Proximity to the big lake is wonderful.

Our room was very unique! The lodge is old and it shows but not in a bad way for the most part! Lots of charm, like the old glass door knobs and the swing in windows! Very cool! I have 2 complaints... our toilet didn't flush correctly and was never fixed and the beds were ROCK HARD! There were public...

Thank you for your review. If I am not mistaken, your toilet got plugged while you were here. I was unable to resolve that in the middle of the night--although I did try. You agreed to use the public rest room for the night and I repaired the toilet the next day. We do order the most firm mattresses that...

Cascade Lodge has been around for a long time. Each cabin is different and can accommodate large groups or individuals. I have not stayed in the lodge, but I have stayed in several of the cabins. The cabins are perfect for a weekend getaway or longer. Some have small kitchenettes and most offer a fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. Dogs...

The rooms are nice and look better than they did in the photos & there was no noise to speak of at all. The room I stayed in also had a fantastic view of Lake Superior. Plus the restaurant they have on site makes some excellent Swedish Pancakes! It's a 10 minute drive from Grand Marais, but it was nice...

My teenage daughter and I stayed in cabin 2 for 3 nights during her Spring break. I had been to the restaurant in years past but had not stayed at the lodge.
