Spent three nights for a convention (CONvergence) and am overwhelmed at how well the staff handle a mass of Sci-Fi fans every year.

Room was spacious, clean and the mattresses really comfortable. And they handled every request with speed and went out of their way to make sure we were well cared for.

We stayed at the Hyatt Regency twice this summer for conventions. The staff was very good and helpful, and when we needed something, they did a good job getting us what we needed. Our two biggest complaints were housekeeping and the food/restaurant. The hotel suspended daily housekeeping "due to Covid", for the "safety of their staff." We had to remove our own garbage daily, clean the room ourselves daily, and try to get clean towels, and throw the dirty ones out into the hallway along with the garbage. Gross. Despite this major reduction in services, they room prices were the same; no reduction in price despite reduction in service. But if the hotel was SO worried about their staffs' safety and getting too close to clients, why then did they continue with their bar/bartender services when the bartender is literally inches away from every client they serve (all day)?! (Answer: because the bar generates revenue for the hotel, and housekeeping is a cost to them). The hotel's food was terrible (again, they use Covid as an excuse), despite the fact that every restaurant in town seems to be able to have a good menu with decent food service. Overall, it seemed like the hotel staff was trying hard to do a good job, despite the fact that Hyatt, as a corporation, is doing a poor job with their hospitality services.

I've stayed at the downtown Minneapolis Hyatt Regency multiple times for an annual conference that is held there. I was curious to see how things had changed due to the continuing pandemic, however I was quite surprised that their quality of everything had remained largely the same as in years before. My room was reasonably quite despite the hotel's busy atmosphere during the conference, and also well-maintained. The beds were quite comfortable, and I was happy that the shower worked to the scalding hot temperature that I enjoy. There was plenty of space in the room for myself and my colleague to both move around and work without tripping over each other as well.
As a note: the hotel's main restaurant, The Prairie Kitchen & Bar, reduced its hours to only offer breakfast and dinner services, however their Market was still open all day.

We stayed once again at the Hyatt Regency Minneapolis for a mid winter weekend get away and to attend the International Motorcycle Show at the Convention Center. The Hyatt is walking distance to the Convention Center through the Skywalk so it is a convenient location. The staff of the Hyatt from valet, front desk, bartenders, dining room staff are all friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Our room, a King City View on the 23rd floor was clean and well appointed with a pretty city view. Our only disappointment was that the Club floor is closed on the weekend and we missed the Happy Hour and breakfast buffet that is usually served there. We will keep that in mind on our next trip.

The hotel and rooms are nice, but the level of service and value for food service were terrible. The hotel has moved to not cleaning rooms during a guest stay, but when guests stay for more than 2 days it feels like you need to clean your own room while on a trip. The trash was allowed to accumulate in the meeting room until I requested that it be removed. The breakfast service we ordered at a cost of over $400 consisted of 20 mini cinnamon rolls, 15 yogurts, 2 gallons of water and a gallon of coffee. It is clear that the hotel is understaffed and not able to deal with the current supply chain realities.

Hotel was clean, staff was friendly, we had a large group at the hotel and check in was very quick. Used the app for my room key and found this very handy as i typically lose key cards. Small store had good coffee and all the snacks/toiletry items you could need if you happen to forget yours. Restaurant handled volume of people well for the most part.

The beds are uncomfortable. The top cover the hotel added on creates holes for you to sleep in. Well, that is how I felt sleeping throughout the night.

Food selection is awesome and wholesome... the way it is prepared and cooked needs work.

This was my second time staying at the Hyatt Minneapolis. The first visit pre-covid was great, the second visit post covid, not so much so. The quality of our room and the cleanliness was good although the furniture upholstered furniture in the sitting area appeared well used. During a four night stay our room was never cleaned and we had to request fresh towels. Cleanliness in the common areas was the main issue. Trash would be placed in the halls and left for multiple days. In the hallway of the room adjoining ours a pile of linens and two large bags containing pizza boxes was left for over 48 hours. I expect better than this from a Hyatt property.

The lobby might look grand and nice but the room is utterly disappointing. The room desperately needs an upgrade. other chain hotels (even 2**, 3**) have a smart TV in the room nowadays yet this hotel still hangs on to the dumb tv generation. The shower head is smaller than the door knob! Front desk agent stood leaning on the side of the check in counter with one leg against the other side, as if he was working out at the gym. One of the female agents love to jump into others’ throat before they can ask the question. She assumed that she knows what I wanted to know before I even finish my sentence. Not once, but twice. I understand the enthusiasm but she needs to calm down and LISTEN to what the guest’s want! I requested for late check out at 4p and agreed with the extra charge, i thought it would be noted in the system as I wanted to take a nap before my late flight. Guess what, Housekeeping opened the door disregarding my privacy sign at 2p! Without the privacy chain lock, they could have entered the room! I would not have recommended this hotel to any of my colleagues for a trip to MN.

The main strength of this hotel is its very large and well equipped fitness center. One of the best equipped and spacious fitness centers i have ever encountered at a hotel: outstanding. The thing that i did not like about the hotel is that they only provide free drinking water in the room for elite loyalty members. Everyone else has to pay $3.50 US for a small bottle. I perceive it as disrespectful when hotels do not provide free high quality water in the room. People don’t like to drink out of the bathroom sink. I’ve stayed in other hotels in this class that provide abundant drinking water for guests (either filtered drinking water faucet or bottles) including another Hyatt I recently stayed at. Please show enough courtesy for your guests to provide complementary drinking water in the rooms. The room was clean although slightly dated and housekeeping did a good job for the most part (although they did not replace the spare roll of toilet paper and we run out of toilet paper that day). The fridge in the room was NOT working. Hotels should be checking these things regularly and not rely on guests to report them. I appreciated having a safe in the room.

I’m sorry I don’t know, I didn’t have time to use the Club Lounge. Perhaps a quick call to the hotel, they’re very friendly.

Yes, room 2432 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel at the Nicolette mall absolutely connects on one end to a double queen room, and I believe at the other end of 2432, there is a king bed with pullout couch. We stayed in 2432 with the connecting 2-queen bedroom (room 2436). There was another locked door off 2432 that we believed went to the connecting king bedroom.

No classes that I am aware of. However, they have a large room for yoga, stretching etc., with a large screen. I'm sure you can utilize this screen and have a virtual coach conducting a class. The entire fitness area is very large...basketball court, large area for floor exercises....a weight room. Quite a few bikes. tread mills and ellipticals.
