Very new property. Room is not huge but spacious and comfortable (had a standard). Fan and AC in room is great. Only downside was low water pressure for shower. Breakfast was very good, lots of options. Staff here are great, very helpful and quick. Pools are great and kept clean. Blue Lagoon beach is really nice, just the part directly in front of the hotel is not great, so walk 100m down. Hotel could improve on this. I would stay here again. Very relaxing time not close to the craziness of PD
We (total of 7 person with parents above age 75) been lock out at the beach gate around 8.30pm Due to a very small notice hang at the gate which unable to notice. Been waiting at gate for more than 30min as a very unfriendly security guard unwilling to open the gate for us. says its not his fault . Beside that he is not perform his duty to close the gate on time at 7pm. As we walk out from the gate around 8.10pm Hope the hotel management will put up a big sign board near the gate that will close at 7pm towards to the beach. Overall children enjoy the swimming pool and room cleanliness is good eventhou the hotel is quite old.
I stayed there for three days two nights. For me, it was a great resort. The food was okay. But not much attraction around the resort. I think the resort is suitable for those who wanna have meetings or school's related activities
I read some awful reviews and was expecting a house of horrors. Actually Ilham is just a once-four-star now maybe two or three star aged resort. The rooms are huge and the forest park and blue lagoon are quite literally on your doorstep. The pool is great and the restaurant and breakfast AOK. Manage your expectations: this place is a quarter of the price of a fancy resort and clearly it needs a massive overhaul. It’s popular with local families because the facilities are pretty good for the price. They really need to work on their room service menu as the fish in our fish and chips was very undercooked and the garlic toast with our soup was stale. Go to the beach at high tide as it turns into mud flats once the water levels go out. Wear mosquito repellant for your walk in the forest. Keep the windows closed to your room to keep the neighborhood gibbons out.…
We rent 3 bedroom apartment and we are very disappointed with this "4 star" resort. The ever bad experience we have. When we enter the room there have some smell make uncomfortable. The toilet bowl and wall still have the dirt on it. The sofa have broke and bad smell. Besides, one of the sink had blocked, water unable flush out and the water heater already broken. The room's door also broken unable close well. In addition, there have two air-cond are water leaking. We had called for reception and request to change room, they not allowed and give excuse that fully booked. So they have sent 1 maintenance to repair the air-cond and 1 housekeeping to bring the air refresh to spray. The maintenance repair for an hour but still unable settle the issue and go off. However, the most pissed off thing happened was when we having breakfast in the restaurant, we found the bread mildewed, we called for the captain to ask but she refuse to come over, just send a waiter to settle. The waiter just take off the bread and throw then ask us get new one.This is the worst resort/hotel we stay before. Strongly not recommend to stay this resort.…
This review is coming from my experience of my stay. First of all, I like the composition and the layout of the room. The size is fairly reasonable as it can support up to 6 people. However, the room lacks hygiene and the service is unacceptable. When we first got in the room, there were brown stains all over the blanket and the sheets of the bed. The fridge also had brown leaks down the back. The room also inhabited many bugs and even a lizard that disturbed many and excreted and urinated on one of the floors. The shower drains were clogged densely with hair.
we booked rooms in Group, & it was 03 bedroom apartment. Living area was huge , with flat screen TV,.. TV must be in rooms as well.. further toilets need to improve as our toilet was not clean enough...
Globally, the service and the hotel are OK but the building is not in very good conditions and rooms are quite "old style". We have booked a 2 bedroom appartment which was very big (maybe 80 square meters), but the design is really old fashion. Internet was functioning well. A mlot of noise from the swimming pool area (music starting at 8am). Main problem is that my first booking (on the resort web site) failed. After some difficulties, I got the confirmation through facebook Messenger that this booking was not OK and they were inviting me to do a 2nd booking, what I did. But finally, the 2 bookings were effective and I have been charged TWICE ! I am still in contact with them to solve the problem; maybe it will be ok. I have been informed by the hotel reception (when I did the check in, I was surprised to hear that I would have 2 appartments !), that it was happening sometimes... Place is anyway very close to the beach and easy to go to the lighthouse (nice trails). Breakfast is OK.…
We book 3 bedroom apartment with pool view. Extra charges RM50 per day for ground floor pool area. Swimming pool only can be used from 7.30 morning to 7.30 evening. Management should upgrade to prolonged the use of swimming pool. Time is too short for us to enjoy in the pool area. Big living area with kitchenette but cooking are prohibited. Varieties menu served for breakfast. But dear management please change your 'low quality soft spoons' used at your cafe.
